TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations across the United States are collecting donations for distribution to The Partnership for Families Children and Adults.

Mother’s Day should be a joyous occasion for mothers and their families. Unfortunately for some women, that’s not always the case. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is hoping to change that with a program called Movers for Moms® — a collection of creature comfort items and essential items that will be delivered to women living at The Partnership for Families Children and Adults on Mother’s Day.

This is the eighth year for the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Movers for Moms® program, and our franchise’s 3rd year participating.
We joined the Movers for Moms® program to support the less fortunate women in the shelter at The Partnership for Families Children and Adults by making this Mother’s Day a little bit happier for them.

Last Spring, Movers for Moms® collected more than 220,000 items for women in hundreds of shelters across the nation. This year, our goal is 250,000 items.

The donations we encourage for the Movers for Moms® drive include any/all creature comfort items that all moms enjoy: nice soaps, hair conditioners, soft pillows, slippers, etc.
Essential items such as food and toiletries will also be welcome. NO GIFT IS TOO SMALL.

In Chattanooga we are collecting for the The Partnership for Families Children and Adults. Items the shelter has requested include bes sheets, new pillows, pots and pans, flatware etc.
Community members can drop off donations at the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® located at 5959 Shallowford Rd, Suite 515, Chattanooga, TN 37421 and at First Volunteer bank Hixson, Highway 58, and Gunbarrel locations.

We are collecting donations for this year’s Movers for Moms® program until the week of Mother’s Day.
Our office is open to receive donations Sunday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® has women in key leadership across the company, and some of our most successful franchisees are women, so the idea for Movers for Moms® came to us naturally.
Local businesses are welcome to serve as additional collection sites. Contact us at (423) 893-3450 to learn how you can support Movers for Moms®

BMW of North America will recall 91,800 Mini Coopers because of a faulty sensor that might not trigger the front-passenger air bag during a crash, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Saturday.

The agency said the sensor in a detection mat might not recognize there is a passenger in the front seat and the air bag wouldn't deploy during an accident.

The affected models are 2005-2006 Mini Cooper and Cooper S vehicles manufactured between January 5, 2005, and November 28, 2006, and 2005-2008 Mini Cooper convertible and Cooper S convertibles manufactured between January 5, 2005 and July 31, 2008.

BMW will replace the detection mat for free, the agency said.

The recall is expected to begin May 1. Owners may contact Mini customer service at 1-866-825-1525.

In a report BMW sent to the federal agency, the automaker said it estimated 10% of vehicles have the defective sensor mat. The company wrote it had received one report of an injury possibly connected with the defect.
