Skyler McKenzie has been the Director of Programming for Sunny 92.3 WDEF since 1993. He is proud to call Chattanooga home with his wife and children. You'll catch them at Coolidge Park, Lookouts games, CSO performances as well as at most of the concerts and shows in our area.
Skyler previously was the afteroon host on Sunny 92.3 prior to being named Station Manger and responsible for all 4 of Bahakel Communications stations here in Chattanooga. He occasionally fills-in when other team members are on vacation, and loves being on-air the most.
Born in Lake Junaluska, North Carolina. He began his radio career at age 16 high in high school and continued through college where he earned a B.S. in Radio, TV, and Film with a minor in Journalism from Westen Carolina University.
Aside from Sunny's great variety of music, Skyler enjoys New Rock, Smooth Jazz, and Classical. His favorite books are Kahil Gibran's "The Prophet" and "Leaves of Grass" by Walt Whitman. His favorite artists include U2, Sade, Rick Braun, James Morrison, Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay and Kings of Leon, to name a very few.

The Young Professionals Association of Chattanooga is partnering with Battle Academy and Calvin Donaldson Academy this fall for the Half Campaign. Volunteers are encouraged to visit the two schools for half an hour every month to spend some time with children at the school. Durham Mine Site Fossil Dig
CNC Naturalist, Kyle Waggener, will conduct a fossil Dig on November 20th from 10 am to 1 pm at Lula Lake Land Trust. This is the best site for fern fossils.
