Benefit for Joey

Joey lost both his legs and injured his right arm on August 6^th after an IED exploded while he was serving with the Marine Corps in Afghanistan. He is currently in a hospital in Maryland, where his family is by his side. There will be a fundraiser at the Dalton Depot on September 5th to help out his family and one year old son.

Durham Mine Site Fossil Dig

CNC Naturalist, Kyle Waggener, will conduct a fossil Dig on November 20th from 10 am to 1 pm at Lula Lake Land Trust. This is the best site for fern fossils. Prepayment and Preregistration is required. Call 423-821-1160 ext 0. Admission is $8 CNC members and $4 for member children, $11 non-member adult and $6 non-member children.
