Dayton, Tennessee’s Cody Buell will be on the reality TV show “The Amazing Race”, and he says he didn’t even audition. Producers saw on his Instagram account that he is an expert at catching catfish by hand (it’s called “noodling”) and they called him up. He and his friend Nathan Worthington are on the show; Season 32 begins this Wednesday, Oct. 14th, on CBS.
The LaFayette Middle School Beta Club has won a national award for its “Peer Mentoring Program”, which helps to ease the transition from elementary school to middle school.

The Chattanooga Armed Forces Parade is set for October 23rd at 10:30am. The parade will begin at Market Street and MLK, and will make its way up to the Aquarium. It will honor the Armed Forces AND First Responders. And it will be a little different this year: no marching bands – every group will be in a vehicle; and please wear a mask. On the weekend of October 24th-25th, TDOT will be closing down the I-75 North / I-24 West split for a few days. This will allow crews to make some major progress on that construction project. It ISN’T this weekend, but we will update you on the details as we get them. Thanks TDOT for the heads-up.
