Russell Crowe is reflecting on one of the movies that changed the course of his career. In a recent interview with Collider, Crowe said he is "slightly jealous" of Paul Mescal for starring in the sequel to his 2000 film Gladiator.

"I was a much younger man, obviously, and it was a huge experience in my life," Crowe said of the original film. "It's something that changed my life, really. It changed the way people regarded me and what I do for a living."

He continued, "I've been very lucky to be involved in lots of big movies, but the legs on that film are incredible. Here it is, it's 2023, and we made that film in 1999. I guarantee you, somewhere around the world tonight, ‘Gladiator' is going to be showing on primetime TV."

The Unhinged actor added, "You don't always get that kind of longevity with every film you do, so, it obviously holds a special place in my heart."

AMANDA BYNES IS RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL FOLLOWING PSYCHIATRIC HOLD: According to TMZ, Amanda Bynes was released from a hospital in Southern California Monday (April 10th), after she and medical staff determined that she was ready to leave. Brie Larson reprises her role as Captain Marvel in the film, joined by Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Jackson, and more. On Good Morning America Tuesday (April 11th), Larson said, "The first one was the origin story of who she is. Now it's digging into some of the complexities. On Sunday's (April 9th) episode of The Most Dramatic Podcast Ever, The Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan King asked Harrison if there were any narcissists involved in the franchise. "The creator of the show was — severely," Harrison said. CHECK OUT THE TRAILER FOR ‘THE MOTHER:' According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix released the trailer for The Mother on Tuesday (April 11th). Jennifer Lopez stars in the movie as a former assassin who is trying to protect her daughter. "I'm a killer. And I'm also mother," Lopez says in the action-packed trailer. The film is expected to hit the streaming platform on May 12th.

On Easter Sunday (April 9th), Hilary Swank took to Instagram to announce that she had welcomed her twins to the world.

The Million Dollar Baby actress shared a photo of herself holding the two babies in her arms, as she stood in a bathrobe and looked out at a beautiful sunset. "It wasn't easy. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it," she captioned the photo. "Happy Easter! Posting from pure Heaven."

Swank married Philip Schneider in 2018 and announced that she was pregnant with twins in October of 2022. At the time, the Boys Don't Cry actress also shared that she was due on her late father's birthday.

In a recent interview with Stellar Magazine, Jennifer Garner admitted that she doesn't enjoy reading stories about herself or her ex-husband, Ben Affleck.

"I really work hard not to see either of us in the press," she told the outlet. "It doesn't make me feel good, even if it's something nice about one of us. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Charlie Day spoke with Willie Geist on Sunday (April 9th) about his directorial debut in Fool's Paradise. The film is expected to reach theaters on May 12th.

"My biggest regret is that Ray is not going to get to see the audience see him," Day said, referring to the late actor Ray Liotta. Liotta plays a powerful Hollywood executive in the movie-within-a-movie, which also stars Ken Jeong, Kate Beckinsale, Jason Sudeikis, Edie Falco, and John Malkovich.

"Ray would text me every three months like, 'Hey, man, what's going on with that movie we did? When is it getting out?' And I would say, 'Ray, I'm so sorry. Simu Liu told Buzzfeed about the first time he met his "hero" Michelle Yeoh on the set of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

ELIZABETH HUBBARD DIES AT 89: Entertainment Tonight reports that As the World Turns star Elizabeth Hubbard passed away over the weekend at the age of 89. Her son, Jeremy D. Bennett, shared the news Monday (April 10th) via Facebook. "I'm sorry to say with a broken heart mi mum passed over the weekend," he wrote. "Thank you for being an unmovable rock that guided me through life. I will try to honour your memory for as long as I live. Love & Prayers. Jeremy." Hubbard's cause of death is not yet known. Martha Byrne, who starred as Hubbard's daughter on As the World Turns, took to Instagram Monday (April 10th) to honor the late actress as well. KIM KARDASHIAN JOINS THE CAST OF ‘AMERICAN HORROR STORY:' Kim Kardashian is continuing to expand her reach. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Kardashians star is joining the cast of American Horror Story for the hit show's 12th season. "Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family," the show's co-creator, Ryan Murphy, said in a statement. "Emma Roberts and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. NETFLIX ANNOUNCES ‘STRANGER THINGS' ANIMATED SERIES: Deadline reports that a Stranger Things animated series is in the works at Netflix. Stranger Things co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer told the outlet, "We've always dreamed of an animated Stranger Things in the vein of the Saturday morning cartoons that we grew up loving, and to see this dream realized has been absolutely thrilling. CAROLINE MANZO SAYS SHE WILL ‘NEVER' RETURN TO ‘HOUSEWIVES' FOLLOWING ‘TRAUMATIC' INCIDENT: The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Caroline Manzo appeared on the Two T's in a Pod podcast recently and addressed Brandi Glanville allegedly sexual assaulting her on the set of Girls Trip. Jeremy Renner spoke with Diane Sawyer in his first sit-down interview since surviving a tragic snowplow accident on New Year's Day. The Avengers star suffered more than 30 broken bones as a result of the incident.

"I've lost a lot of flesh and bone in this experience, but I've been refueled and refilled with love and titanium," he said. Renner was helping his nephew, Alex Fries, move a truck that got stuck in the snow. "I just happened to be the dummy standing on the dang track a little bit, seeing if my nephew was there," he said.

Renner continued, "You should be inside the vehicle when you're operating it, you know what I mean? It's kind of like driving a car with your foot outside the car ... It is what it was. And it's my mistake, and I paid for it."

Renner's neighbor, Rich Kovach, described the harrowing experience of seeing him after he was crushed by the snowplow. "He was just in such pain and the sounds that were coming out of him," Kovach said. "And so much blood in the snow. When I looked at his head, it appeared to be cracked wide open. I knew it was extremely serious."

The Mayor of Kingstown actor added, "If I was there on my own, that would've been a horrible way to die. And surely I would have. Surely. But I wasn't alone. It was my nephew, sweet Alex. And the rest of the cavalry came."

On Friday (April 7th), Renner took to Instagram to share that he was enjoying being at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California. "Good Friday , made magic on the mountain with some of my amazing family!" he wrote. According to Entertainment Tonight, video shared to his Instagram stories showed him riding a motorized scooter around the park, listening to Prince and the Revolution's "Kiss" from a portable speaker.

Lance Reddick's family and his longtime attorney, James E. Hornstein, are challenging the John Wick actor's reported cause of death. On Thursday (April 6th), TMZ claimed that they obtained a copy of Reddick's death certificate, which listed ischemic heart disease and atherosclerotic coronary artery disease as his cause of death.

Hornstein said these findings are "not a result of an autopsy" and are "inconsistent with the facts known to the family." The Lost actor died at the age of 60 on March 17th at his home in Los Angeles.

Reddick's attorney said the Wire actor was "the most physically fit person I've ever known," and that he "ate as if a dietitian was monitoring his every meal."

"The information appearing on the death certificate is wholly inconsistent with his lifestyle," Hornstein added. "On behalf of his wife Stephanie Reddick, the death certificate information is not corroborated and is inconsistent with the facts known to the family."

The highly anticipated Super Mario Bros. Movie raced past box office records over the weekend, debuting domestically with $146.36 million. The film also pulled in $377 million globally, winning the title for best global opening for an animated movie. Domestically, The Super Mario Bros. Movie had the best opening for any movie this year and had the second-best opening for an animated film in North America—behind Incredibles 2 at $182.6 million.

Regarding second place, Deadline reports that there was essentially a three-way tie. John Wick: Chapter 4 brought in $14.6 million, while Dungeons & Dragons made $14.5 million, and Air debuted with $14.46 million.

It all started when the Instagram account @Deuxmoi shared a post claiming that multiple sources had confirmed that the pair are in fact dating. "Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner aren't dating this some nonsense created by Kris trying to get Kylie trending again, for other reasons than Hailey," one person tweeted, referring to the alleged feud between Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez. It's hard to put into words how brilliant my uncle Michael was, and how influential he was to me. His stories always inspired me and made me fall in love with acting. ‘SEX/LIFE' CANCELLED AFTER SARAH SHAHI SPOKE ABOUT HER TIME ON SET: According to Today, Netflix confirmed that there will not be a third season of the hit show Sex/Life. This comes after the star of the show, Sarah Shahi, appeared on the Skinny But Not Fat podcast recently. "I'm not going to put it down, but I definitely did not have the support that I did the first season from the people involved in the show. It became a much different thing for me, and I'm not afraid to say that," she said about her time on set. "I struggled with the material. I just felt the thing that it had the first season — I mean, I'm never gonna work for Netflix again now after saying all this, but I can't lie. And it was definitely a challenge." Jeremy Renner wrote what he thought would be his final message to his family when in critical condition in the hospital after his New Year's Day accident.

In a clip teasing his interview with Diane Sawyer, the Hawkeye star said, "I'm writing down notes in my phone – my last words to my family."

He added, "If I was there, on my own, that would've been a horrible way to die. And surely, I would've. Surely. But I wasn't alone — I was with my nephew. Sweet Alex. And the rest of the cavalry came."
