The Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade on Friday (June 24th) came as a shock to many, despite the leaked draft opinion in May. Various celebrities took to social media to respond to the decision.

Viola Davis posted to Twitter, "And so it goes ... Gutted. Now more than ever we have to use our voice and power!"

Bette Midler was in disbelief. "They did it. THEY DID IT TO US! #SCOTUS has overturned #RoevWade, enshrined in the Constitution as settled law for over 50 years. How dare they? This #SCOTUS is absolutely tone-deaf to the will and even the actual needs of the American people. #WakeUpAmerica," she wrote.

Queer Eye's Jonathan Van Ness commented on the repercussions of the decision, writing, "This is about controlling bodies and keeping people in systemic poverty for generations. It's heartbreaking that this personal medical decision has been made by people enforcing their evangelical beliefs on all of us."

Seth Macfarlane added, "Not too long ago, this would have been dystopian sci-fi. But the legacy of the 2016 election and the indelible mark of the GOP is printed here in black and white. How much farther this will go once again depends on American voters. Blame extremism or apathy, but this is America."

Ben Affleck's 10-year-old son, Samuel Garner Affleck, appears to have gotten in a little fender-bender on Sunday (June 26th).

TMZ reports that Ben and Jen took Samuel to 777 Exotics, a luxury car dealership in L.A., where Ben let Samuel get behind the wheel of an expensive yellow Lamborghini.

With the engine running, the car was put in reverse and ended up making contact with a white BMW. Afterwards, Samuel got out of the car to look for signs of possible damage.

A representative for Ben told the outlet that there was no damage and that everyone is okay.

Matthew McConaughey has been actively trying to urge lawmakers to pass legislation regarding gun control ever since the Robb Elementary School shooting took place in his hometown of Uvalde, Texas, in May. After President Biden signed the gun control bill on Saturday (June 25th), the Dallas Buyers Club actor shared a post to Instagram stating that it was "a step in the right direction" and "a reasonable and holistic step towards addressing America's gun violence epidemic."

McConaughey continued in his post: "This bill will save innocent lives by keeping guns out of the law breaking and irresponsible hands that are trying to hijack the Second Amendment."

The Dazed and Confused actor added, "While this bill isn't perfect, it is a shining example of a great American potential and political virtue: the act of compromise and validating an opposing viewpoint."

Top Gun: Maverick is holding on tight to the number one spot at the domestic box office. With the debut of the Elvis biopic this weekend, the two films remained tied at $30.5 million as of Sunday (June 26th).

Overall, Elvis has received positive reviews. Deadline reports that the movie got "4 1/2 stars, 88% positive, 72% definite recommend on PostTrak, and a Rotten Tomatoes audience score of 94%."

Kanye West made a surprise appearance on the BET Awards last night (June 26th) to present Diddy with the Lifetime Achievement Award. West -- who was wearing a full mask, paid tribute to Diddy, saying, "How do we crown our kings? How do we appreciate our kings? To think how far we could just make it off of inspiration."

Ye continued, "This is my favorite artist. You see what I'm saying? Favorite artist. Everything. Not specifically production, the drip. You know back then it was so many rules to hip hop. He broke all of them. Broke down all the doors."

He added, "He broke down so many doors about classism, taste, culture, swag. Puff, if I never told you…I love you."

Ye also joked about his Diddy's "wife choices," referring to the fact both women were named Kim.

Diddy accepted the award and told the crowd, "First of all, I want to thank god. God, thank you so much. Never leaving my side, keeping me in my purpose, keeping me godly, lifting me up off the ground." He also thanked his mom and "every artist, every producer, every writer, and every executive I had a chance to work. Thank you to all of my fans who have been with me for over 25 years. I love y'all. I love y'all."

Diddy lated pledged to donate $1 million to Howard University and another $1 million to Jackson State University.

Jodeci and Mary J. Blige performed a tribute to Diddy. Diddy later hit the stage, surprising the crowd with Shyne, who performed "Bad Boys" with Diddy. Diddy also performed "I Need A Girl Part II," All About The Benjamins" with The Lox and Lil Kim, "Pass the Courvoisier" with Busta Rhymes and his new hit "Gotta Move On," with Bryson Tiller. Faith Evans and Maverick City Choir joined Diddy to perform "I'll Be Missing You."

A Rolling Stone investigation published Thursday (June 23rd) found that Ezra Miller is housing a 25-year-old woman and her three young children at his Vermont farm.

Sources tell the outlet that they're concerned with the living arrangements because Miller's home has unattended guns and mature marijuana plants growing on the property. According to the insider, the woman's one-year-old child picked up a loose bullet and put it in her mouth.

The children's father claims that the Flash star flew the mother and children from Hawaii to Vermont in mid-April without his knowledge and he was not able to see or speak to them before their departure.

The mother, who RS chose not to name, says that Miller had helped her escape from a "violent and abusive ex," and Miller "helped me finally … have a safe environment for my three very young children."

Sam Taylor-Johnson and Aaron Taylor-Johnson celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary by renewing their vows.

The couple, who met on the set of the 2009 film Nowhere Boy, shared photos of the event on Instagram Wednesday (June 22nd).

The 32-year-old actor wrote, "A decade of marriage. It was a magical unforgettable day and the sun did not stop shining on us both. We are blessed beyond belief." He added, "Sammy you are my love, my life, my soulmate, my wife, my world!"

Chelsea Handler is suing the lingerie company ThirdLove for breach of contract.

According to the lawsuit obtained by Page Six Style, the brand failed to "fairly compensate her for an advertising campaign it hired her to spearhead."

The complaint filed in the superior Court of California Thursday (June 23rd) states that both parties allegedly agreed upon a compensation of $1,060,000 plus expenses. However, the shoot was allegedly cancelled at the eleventh hour.

The comedian believes the creative team never obtained approval from its Board of Directors before making the agreement.

Handler claims ThirdLove refused to compensate her for the cancelled shoot and violation of their agreement, despite "repeated requests" for the company to do so.

Kendall Jenner and Devin Booker reportedly called it quits after two years of dating because "they weren't aligned" in the weeks following Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's wedding.

An insider told E! News, "They had a really nice time in Italy together. But once they got back, they started to feel like they weren't aligned and realized they have very different lifestyles. Kendall told Devin she wanted space and time apart."

Despite the recent split, the source says the pair are still on friendly terms.

JERRY HARRIS IS LIKELY FACING A 15-YEAR SENTENCE: Cheer star Jerry Harris could be facing 15 years in prison. According to documents obtained by TMZ, the U.S. Attorney's Office is recommending 15 years behind bars for pleading guilty to one count of receipt of child pornography, and one count of traveling with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct. They also requested that he get 10 years of supervised release once he gets out of prison. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for June 28th.

SARAH JESSICA PARKER DOESN'T WANT TO BE APPLAUDED FOR HER GRAY HAIR: Sarah Jessica Parker wishes people would stop applauding her for being brave just because she doesn't always hide her grays. 'SELLING SUNSET' RENEWED FOR TWO MORE SEASONS: Netflix has given Selling Sunset a two-season order, taking it through seasons six and seven. Deadline reports that production will start later this summer.

ROBERT RODRIGUEZ BRINGS NEW 'SPY KIDS' FILM TO NETFLIX: Netflix is teaming up with Robert Rodriguez to create a new family of spies. According to Deadline, the latest Spy Kids chapter will star Gina Rodriguez, Zachary Levi, Everly Carganilla and newcomer Connor Esterson.

Brad Pitt says his career is on its "last leg."

In an interview with British GQ, the actor admitted he's carefully considering the projects ahead, since he's near the end of his time in Hollywood. He told the outlet, "I consider myself on my last leg,this last semester or trimester. What is this section gonna be? And how do I wanna design that?"

In the wide-ranging interview, Pitt also discussed his sobriety. The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star spent a year and a half attending Alcoholics Anonymous after Angelina Jolie filed for divorce in 2016. He said, "I had a really cool men's group here that was really private and selective, so it was safe. Because I'd seen things of other people who had been recorded while they were spilling their guts, and that's just atrocious to me."

Pitt hasn't just given up alcohol, he also quit smoking cigarettes during the pandemic after realizing that it would be impossible to just cut back. He explained, "I don't have that ability to do just one or two a day. It's not in my makeup. I'm all in. And I'm going to drive into the ground. I've lost my privileges."

Casey Affleck's girlfriend had a scary run-in with a burglar Tuesday (June 21st) morning.

LAPD sources told TMZ that Caylee Cowan was alone Tuesday morning in the bedroom of the couple's L.A. home when she opened her eyes to find an intruder staring back at her. According to reports, the intruder fled after Cowan screamed and she was able to call 911.

Police arrived to find a man running down the street, and were able to make an arrest. The unnamed man was charged with burglary.

The outlet reports that Affleck was not home at the time of the incident and Cowan was unharmed.

John Hersey is defending Katie Thurston following the announcement of their split.

When a Bachelor fan account shared their breakup news Tuesday (June 21st) a follower wrote, "I feel like Katie is the reason she can't get a guy."

Hersey replied, "You will speak a finite number of words throughout your life. I urge you to speak more kindly, especially about someone you don't know. An Italian judge ruled Wednesday (June 22nd) that Crash director Paul Haggis will remain under house arrest amid ongoing investigations into allegations of sexual assault against him.

According to reports, he met his accuser at a film festival in Monte Carlo in April. The unnamed British woman says he subjected her to nonconsensual sex over the course of a number of days.

He is currently being detained in Italy where he was due to give a masterclass at the Allora film festival in Ostuni.

JOHNNY DEPP REUNITES WITH THE HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES: Johnny Depp is reuniting with The Hollywood Vampires for an overseas tour. Depp, Joe Perry, Alice Cooper and Tommy Henricksen announced Wednesday (June 22nd) their six-city European tour will take place next June in Germany and Luxembourg. JOHNNY DEPP'S 'SCISSORHAND' FETCHES $80K: Johnny Depp's prop hand from the 1990 film Edward Scissorhands has doubled in value following the defamation trial with Amber Heard. TMZ reports that the hand just sold at auction Tuesday (June 21st) for $81,250, almost twice the price experts estimated the item would sell for. When the Propstore auction was originally announced in May, experts projected the item would sell for between $30k - $50k.

BILLY PORTER SIGNS PRODUCTION DEAL WITH FX: Deadline reports that Pose star Billy Porter has signed a first-look deal with FX Productions. Under the agreement, he will develop content for FX through his new production company Incognegro with producing partner D.J. Gugenheim.

'TITANIC' HEADING BACK TO THEATERS IN 2023: To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Titanic, the James Cameron film has been set for a theatrical release just in time for Valentine's Day next year. According to Deadline, a remastered version will be available in cinemas internationally beginning February 10th, 2023.

On Tuesday (June 21st), a civil jury ruled in favor of Judy Huth, who alleged that Bill Cosby sexually assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion in 1975, when she was a teenager. The verdict was announced in a Santa Monica, California, court room, following a two-week long trial.

Huth alleged that Cosby molested her at Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion when she was just 16 years old. In the civil lawsuit filed by Huth in 2014, she alleged that Cosby approached her and a 17-year-old friend at a San Marino park in Los Angeles, before inviting them to his tennis club the following Saturday.

After Cosby "served them alcoholic beverages," while they played billiards, he then "surprised" them with a trip to the Playboy Mansion. The lawsuit alleged that Cosby molested Huth in a bedroom at the mansion.

Huth was awarded $500,000 in damages. Cosby's legal team was present on Tuesday (June 21st), but The Cosby Show actor was not.

On the Today show Tuesday (June 21st), Kim Kardashian shared the steps she took before introducing Pete Davidson to her children. It turns out that North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm didn't meet the Saturday Night Live star until six months after the pair first started dating.

Kardashian told Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie that she consulted her sister Kourtney and "a few therapists" on how to approach the process first.

"I definitely wanted to wait six months and that was the marker. It's different for everyone and different things work for different people. But you just have to do what feels right and try to just be as respectful and cautious as possible," The Kardashians star said.

Kardashian also shared that her relationship with Davidson took her "by surprise." Following the end of her relationship with Kanye "Ye" West, she said, "I waited a while. I waited like a good 10 months before I was ready to open myself up." She added that she was looking for "new energy and something different."

In an exclusive interview with People published on Tuesday (June 21st), Peta Murgatroyd shared that she suffered three miscarriages over the last two years—including one while her husband, Maks Chmerkovskiy, was in Ukraine.

Murgatroyd recalled a time in October 2021, when she couldn't get up from the floor of her five-year-old son's bedroom after testing positive for COVID-19 days earlier. "I had no strength. I couldn't open a dishwasher. I couldn't open the fridge to feed Shai, to get him some toast. It got so bad that my breath was starting to be affected. It was really dramatic," she said.

The Dancing with the Stars alum was later rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. At the hospital, with Chmerkovskiy on speaker phone, a doctor entered the room and asked Murgatroyd if she knew she was pregnant. Murgatroyd said Chmerkovskiy "heard the doctor say, 'You're pregnant,' " not realizing she had already lost the baby.

"I ultimately had no idea I was pregnant, which in hindsight was better for my recovery because I didn't have that super joyous moment of, 'I'm pregnant again!' I just had the moment of, 'You lost it,' " Murgatroyd said.

The Late Show host Stephen Colbert had a lot to say after U.S. Capitol Police "approached and detained" the members of his staff who were conducting Triumph the Insult Comic Dog interviews during the January 6th committee hearings last week. On Monday's (June 20th) episode, Colbert said Triumph and co. "shot for two days in congressional offices across the street from the Capitol building" after being invited to speak with lawmakers.

"A couple of the TV people started claiming that my puppet squad had ‘committed insurrection' at the U.S. Capitol Building," Colbert said, in reference to a comment made by Tucker Carlson on Fox News.

To clarify, he said, "I am shocked I have to explain the difference, but an insurrection involves disrupting the lawful actions of Congress and howling for the blood of elected leaders, all to prevent the peaceful transfer of power. This was first-degree puppetry. This was high jinks with intent to goof."

Colbert added that some people seem to be creating a distraction from the seriousness of the hearings. "They want to talk about something other than the Jan. 6 hearings on the actual seditionist insurrection that led to the deaths of multiple people and the injury of over 140 police officers, but drawing any equivalence between rioters storming our Capitol to prevent the counting of electoral ballots and a cigar-chomping toy dog is a shameful and grotesque insult to the memory of everyone who died and it obscenely trivializes the service and the courage the Capitol Police showed on that terrible day," he said.
