Host George Stephanopoulos touched on the trial's effects on domestic violence overall, saying, "Victims' advocates have argued that the verdict is going to have a chilling effect on domestic-violence victims and it's a blow to the #MeToo movement."

To this, Camille Vasquez replied, "I think our response to that is that we encourage any victim to come forward. Domestic violence doesn't have a gender."

"So you don't see this as a setback in any way, shape or form?" Stephanopoulos asked.

"We do not. We believe that the verdict speaks for itself; the facts are what they are. The jury made a unanimous decision based on those facts," Vazquez said.

Gabrielle Union Opens Up About Surviving Rape And Struggling With PTSD

Gabrielle Union shared a moving post to Instagram on Tuesday (June 7th), opening up about her ongoing struggles as a rape survivor. The Bring It On actress shared a video of herself on the red carpet at the 2022 Met Gala and detailed what it is like to live with post-traumatic stress disorder.

"As a rape survivor, I have battled PTSD for 30 years. Living with anxiety and panic attacks all these years has never been easy," she wrote.

Union continued, "There's times the anxiety is so bad it shrinks my life. Leaving the house or making a left hand turn at an uncontrolled light can fill me with terror. Anxiety can turn my anticipation about a party or fun event I've been excited about attending (Met Ball) into pure agony."

The Cheaper by the Dozen star wanted other survivors to know they aren't alone. "When we tell y'all what we are experiencing, please believe us the 1st time we mention it. No, it's not like being nervous and everyone experiences and deals with anxiety differently, and that's OK. I don't need you to try to ‘fix' me. I share this as I hope everyone living with anxiety knows they aren't alone or ‘being extra.' I see you, I FEEL you and there is so much love for you. Always," she added.

Nick Cannon Is Going To Be A Father ... Again

This may or may not come as a surprise, but Nick Cannon is going to be welcoming even more babies to the world. On Tuesday’s (June 7th) episode of the Lip Service podcast, Cannon said, “Let's just put it this way ... the stork is on the way."

The Love Don’t Cost a Thing actor announced in January that he would be welcoming his eighth child with model Bre Tiesi. In 2021, he fathered three children: twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir with Abby De La Rosa and baby Zen, who died in December due to brain cancer, with Alyssa Scott.

Per his therapist’s suggestion at the time, Cannon tried celibacy. After losing Zen, he said he was experiencing depression and fell off the wagon. “So in December ... the thing is everybody saw I was so down. So everybody was like, 'Let's just give him a little vagina, and that's gonna cure it all,'" he said.

"I fell victim to it 'cause I was in a weak state. So December, especially right before Christmas, I started f------ like crazy,” Cannon added.

Time will tell how many kids the Wild ‘N Out star has in tow. "If you thought it was a lot of kids last year...,” he said on the podcast.

Naomi Watts Seeks To 'Conquer The Stigma' Around Menopause

Naomi Watts took to Instagram on Wednesday (June 8th) to address aging and the stigma around menopause.

"Does the word menopause freak you out?" she wrote alongside a selfie. "It did me… But, why? It's just a natural phase of life and something half the population will be directly affected by and the other half will feel indirectly (so please stick around … even the dudes!)."

The I Heart Huckabees star shared that she struggled to find answers about menopause in her late 30s, right when she was "finally ready" to have a family. "How could I figure this out when no one was talking? I was earlier to it than my peers," she said.

"Let's conquer the stigma and address the secrecy and shame we've felt and help create a healthier foundation for future generations. Getting older is a privilege and a time for us to feel proud of our cumulative experiences — to feel empowered, unapologetically so," Watts added.

The King Kong star seems to have more up her sleeve regarding this issue, as she wrapped up her post with, "I'm working on something I feel super proud of. I hope you follow along as I share more in the coming weeks."

Procter & Gamble Blames Amy Schumer For Tampon Shortage

Apparently, there's a national tampon shortage—and Procter & Gamble is blaming comedian Amy Schumer. The 2022 Oscars host appeared in commercials for Tampax in 2020, and a spokesperson for the company told Time Magazine recently that "retail sales growth has exploded," ever since.

Tampax boxes are flying off the shelves and demand has gone up by 7.7%. The spokesperson also said, "Amazon sellers are taking advantage of the shortage."

In January, one box of 18 tampons was "listed for $114, about $6 more more — per tampon — than women usually pay."

Many are skeptical that this is due to Schumer appearing in the advertisements, especially since Playtex tampons are also in short supply.

On Tuesday (June 7th), McConaughey stood at the press briefing podium and held up a drawing by Alithia Ramirez, one of the victims who was just 10 years old. He shared that she dreamed of going to art school in Paris.

The Last Holiday actress wasn't happy to hear that comment. "I was mad at that. It pissed me off. I was like, 'What? Me?' I mean, I'm just thick. She said you are 30% over where you should be. And I'm like, 'Obesity?'"

Latifah and Jada Pinkett-Smith later discussed how the Body Mass Index is problematic, as it's based on the body of a white European man in the mid-19th century. The formula does not account for a person's ethnicity, gender, or body composition.

On Monday (June 6th), The Austin American-Statesman published an op-ed by Matthew McConaughey on gun laws, following the tragic mass shooting at Robb Elementary School. McConaughey was born in Uvalde, Texas, where the shooting took place.

"I believe that responsible, law-abiding Americans have a Second Amendment right, enshrined by our founders, to bear arms. It's time we talk about gun responsibility," he wrote.

The Dallas Buyers Club actor continued, "There is no constitutional barrier to gun responsibility. Keeping firearms out of the hands of dangerous people is not only the responsible thing to do, it is the best way to protect the Second Amendment. We can do both."

McConaughey suggests requiring background checks for all gun sales, raising the age to buy an assault rifle to 21 unless the person is in the military, and establishing a waiting period for the purchase of assault rifles.

Brad Pitt Accuses Angelina Jolie Of Intentionally Inflicting 'Harm' On Him By Selling Wine Shares

The legal drama between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie continues. In his latest court filings, Pitt claims Jolie "sought to inflict harm on" him by selling her interests in the former couple's wine company.

Pitt and Jolie bought a controlling stake in the vineyard and home Château Miraval, located in the south of France, in 2008. They later got married at the vineyard in 2014.

Pitt's recent court documents say Jolie contributed "nothing to Miraval's success" and that she "pursued and then consummated the purported sale in secret, purposely keeping Pitt in the dark, and knowingly violating Pitt's contractual rights."

According to the filings, the buyer of Jolie's shares, Yuri Shefler, is "bent on taking control of Miraval" and uses "cutthroat business tactics and dubious professional associations," which "jeopardizes the reputation of the brand Pitt so carefully built."

Pitt's team added, "Jolie has sought to force Pitt into partnership with a stranger, and worse yet, a stranger with poisonous associations and intentions."

She continued, "We knew that this was going to be an uphill battle and that the cards were stacked against us. But you stood up and spoke out regardless. I am so honored to testify for you, and I would do it a million times over because I know what I saw and because the truth is forever on your side."

Henriquez added, "I'm so sorry that it wasn't reflected in the decision made by this jury, but I will never give up on you, and neither will anyone who stands with you. Forever by your side… #istandwithamberheard."
