JOEL McHALE RETURNS TO E!: Joel McHale is returning to E! for the celebrity competition show, Celebrity Beef. The network announced on Wednesday (May 11th) that the former host of The Soup will helm the show, which is set to premiere this summer. According to the show's description, "Each week two celebrities will go head-to-head in a light-hearted face-off, knives in hand and spices on the rack, ready to cook the best dish this side of the Hollywood Hills."

HAYDEN PANETTIERE TO REPRISE 'SCREAM 4' ROLE: Deadline reports that Hayden Panettiere will reprise her Scream 4 role of Kirby Reed for the next installment of the franchise. The next Scream film will pick up with the four survivors of the most recent batch of Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.

'SOUTHPARK' FILM TO DROP ON PARAMOUNT+ IN JUNE: A new made-for-tv film from South Park will drop on Paramount+ this spring. According to The Hollywood Reporter, South Park: The Streaming Wars, will drop on the streaming service on June 1st. It is the third of fourteen films Trey Parker and Matt Stone agreed to when they signed their $900 million ViacomCBS deal last year.

'SPIDERMAN' LEADS MTV MOVIE AWARDS: The MTV Movie & TV Awards announced their nominations Wednesday (May 11th). Spider-Man: No Way Home is the most nominated project at the 2022 award show with seven total nominations, followed by Euphoria with six noms and The Batman with four noms. The ceremony will take place on June 5th and be broadcasted live from Barker Hangar in Los Angeles starting at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Just hours after Grey's Anatomy actor Jesse Williams was nominated for a Tony for his role in Take Me Out on Monday (May 9th), nude photos and video of the actor were leaked online.

Williams stars as a gay professional baseball player in the Broadway play. In one scene, he is fully nude while taking a shower. Despite audience members being required to keep cell phones locked in cases during the performance, photos and videos of the shower scene were leaked online Monday (May 9th).

That same night, Williams commented on the nude scene during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. "It's a body. Once you see it, you realize it's whatever, it's a body. I just have to not make it that big a deal," he told Andy Cohen.

Naturally, Twitter is having a field day with the leaked footage. One person tweeted, "Driving to NY to see Jesse Williams on Broadway as we speak." Another wrote, "goodnight to Jesse Williams, and Jesse Williams only."

Hilary Duff is having her moment on the cover of Women's Health. Duff posed nude for the magazine's "Body Issue" and commented on the effects of Hollywood on one's body image.

"I'm proud of my body. I'm proud that it's produced three children for me. I've gotten to a place of being peaceful with the changes my body has gone through," Duff told the magazine.

She also wanted fans to know how much went into the photoshoot. "I also want people to know a makeup artist was there putting glow all over my body and someone put me in the most flattering position," she said.

The How I Met Your Father actress added, "We bust our ass to get our bodies in shape and to look the best we can. We get facials and Botox and our hair done and highlights and brows and lash lifts and all this s—t. But I want to work on the inside. That's the most important part of the system."

Michelle Williams and her husband, Hamilton director Thomas Kail, will be welcoming another baby this fall. Williams told Variety on Tuesday (May 10th), "It's totally joyous."

"As the years go on, you sort of wonder what they might hold for you or not hold for you. It's exciting to discover that something you want again and again, is available one more time. That good fortune is not lost on me or my family," the Dawson's Creek actress said.

This will be Williams and Kail's second child together, as their son, Hart, was born in 2020. Williams also has a 16-year-old daughter, Matilda, whom she shared with the late Heath Ledger.

On The View Tuesday (May 10th), Eva Mendes shared that she's ready to get back into acting following a years-long break. However, the Hitch actress said she has some conditions.

"I have such a short list of what I will do. Like before kids, I kind of was up for anything — I mean, if it was a fun project. But now I won't do violence, I don't want to do sexuality, I don't want to do... the list is short," she said.

When Whoopi Goldberg replied with, "Stuff like Disney does," Mendes emphatically said, "Disney! Perfect."

"I'm more of the villain kinda type of girl. I'm more of the Ursula type... I like the villains of the Disney movies. They're fun," she added.

Some fans aren't happy with the way Kim Kardashian treated Pete Davidson in a behind-the-scenes video at Ripley's Believe It Or Not in Orlando, uploaded recently to the Kardashian Social Instagram account.

In the video, Davidson can be seen wearing two hats: a purple one on top of a navy one. Kardashian says, "Take the double hat off," to which the Saturday Night Live star responds, "I didn't know where to put my hat."

"She'll hold it, just in case, because if it works and we want to use this somewhere. Just if I want to post any behind-the-scenes," Kardashian says. "Oh you don't want me to have a double hat? I appreciate that. Thank you," the comedian says. Kardashian replies, "I'm just looking out for you."

One fan commented, "She's controlling. She's not letting him be himself by wearing two hats. Let him wear two freaking hats, Kim. It's all about her Instagram aesthetic. Within five months he's going to be a complete accessory."

Cromwell argued that Starbucks "still discriminates against those who can't have dairy" by making people "pay more" for alternative milks.

CHRISHELL STAUSE OPENS UP ABOUT HER RELATIONSHIP WITH G FLIP: Amid all the buzz about her new relationship with non-binary musician G Flip, Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause took to Instagram on Tuesday (May 10th) to share more about their relationship. JACK KEHLER DIES AT 75: According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Big Lebowski actor Jack Kehler passed away on Saturday (May 7th) at the age of 75. Kehler died due to complications from leukemia at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. In addition to his role in The Big Lebowski, Kehler appeared in films such as Point Break, Waterworld, Lethal Weapon 4, and Men in Black II. He also held roles in television shows such as 7th Heaven, NYPD Blue, 24, Mad Men, and The Man From High Castle. He is survived by his wife, Shawn Casey, his son, Eddie Kehler, his daughter-in-law, Mari-Anne, and his grandson, Liam.

PERCY JACKSON AUTHOR SHUTS DOWN RACIST BACKLASH FOR CASTING LEAH JEFFRIES AS ANNABETH CHASE: Variety reports that Rick Riordan, the author of Percy Jackson, posted a blog post on Tuesday (May 10th) denouncing the racist backlash that has arisen since Leah Jeffries was cast as Annabeth Chase in the Disney+ series. Riodan wrote, "Some of you have apparently felt offended or exasperated when your objections are called out online as racist. ‘But I am not racist,' you say. ‘It is not racist to want an actor who is accurate to the book's description of the character.' Let's examine that statement. You are upset/disappointed/frustrated/angry because a Black actor has been cast to play a character who was described as white in the books…You are judging her appropriateness for this role solely and exclusively on how she looks. She is a Black girl playing someone who was described in the books as white. Friends, that is racism."

JENNIFER ANISTON TO APPEAR ON THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW'S FINAL EPISODE: People reports that Jennifer Aniston will be returning to The Ellen DeGeneres Show for its final episode on May 26th. Aniston was Ellen's first guest on the show when it began airing back in 2003, and now she will also be her last.

DAVE CHAPPELLE'S HOLLYWOOD BOWL SHOW WON'T APPEAR ON NETFLIX: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix announced on Monday (May 9th) that Dave Chappelle's Hollywood Bowl set won't be appearing on the streaming platform. Apparently, Netflix made this decision before Chappelle was attacked onstage.

Wendy Williams threw a little shade at Sherri Shepherd over the weekend during an Instagram Live with Fat Joe. The talk show host said she would not be tuning in to Shepherd's talk show titled Sherri, which is set to take over The Wendy Williams Show's time slot in the fall.

"I like her, but I won't be watching her because I know what she's going to be doing and that's really not my thing. Anyway, but I love being on my own show and I love that people love to watch it all the time," Williams said.

Williams also commented on the state of her frozen bank accounts. "I know what kind of money I have. Unfortunately, I only have two dollars and nothing else. Everything is frozen and some people are involved with this and so that's what I'm doing right now," she said.

"I got people that will get that done, they will get it done. That's why I don't feel as though I will go away. I will get even bigger and bigger and bigger. Maybe I'll talk about it while I'm doing my show. Maybe I'll talk about it while I'm having dessert," Williams added.

SHERRI SHEPHERD SAYS SHE'S ‘TRULY CONCERNED' FOR WENDY WILLIAMS

Following Williams' comments during an Instagram Live with Fat Joe over the weekend, Sherri Shepherd shared that she is "truly concerned" for the talk show host.

Page Six reports that Shepherd responded to Williams' sentiments in her own Instagram Live over the weekend. "I did hear Wendy say she will not watch me on the new show. And that's OK. You know, I understand," Shepherd said.

She also asked fans to "pray" for Williams. "She's going through a lot. I'm truly concerned for her," Shepherd said.

On Monday (May 9th), Hilaria Baldwin took to Instagram to share the news that she and Alec Baldwin are expecting a baby girl. "It's always been both fun and meaningful for me to find out what is the sex of my baby, yet, as I grow and learn, I want to do it a bit differently this time around," Hilaria wrote.

The yoga instructor shared a video that featured the whole family sending welcoming and encouraging messages to the new baby. Near the end, they reveal that they are expecting a girl.

Hilaria continued in her caption, "What will make our baby a loving, whole person? What matters? What will make them feel seen, free, and proud? We can only guide, encourage their spirit, listen, share our experiences, and learn from them, as we watch their own journey."

"We can provide as good a life as we can, but the rest is up to our baby to discover their own, unique self…I feel so much joy, watching these children, who are filled with love and the most simple, kind wisdom. Hearing them share their words is one of my greatest gifts in life," she added.

Denise Richards and her daughter, Sami Sheen, seem to have worked out their issues. On Sunday (May 8th), Sami posted selfies with her mother outside of Giorgio Baldi Restaurant in Santa Monica, California. "happy mother's day !! i love u so much mom. u have no idea how grateful i am to have u in my life," Sami captioned the post.

This comes after the Wild Things actress said she had a "strained relationship" with her daughter on Sirius XM's Jeff Lewis Live in February. "It's very difficult. I know we'll get back to where we were eventually but right now, it is strained," she said, adding that Sami was living with her ex-husband Charlie Sheen at the time.

"There are certain rules and I enforce them. And at Sheen's, there's different rules at that house and that's OK," Richards said.

Fans thought the mother-daughter duo might be reconciling after Richards posted a tribute to Sami on her 18th birthday last month. "I love you unconditionally and I am very blessed & grateful to be your mom," Richards wrote.

Elizabeth Olsen is getting "a little feisty" when it comes to Marvel movies. In a recent interview with The Independent, the Avengers actress expressed disappointment at people who think Marvel films "seem like a lesser type of art."

"I'm not saying we're making indie art films, but I just think it takes away from our crew, which bugs me," she said.

The Captain America actress continued, "These are some of the most amazing set designers, costume designers, camera operators ― I feel diminishing them with that kind of criticism takes away from all the people who do award-winning films, that also work on these projects."

She added, "From an actor's point of view, whatever, I get it; I totally understand that there's a different kind of performance that's happening. But I do think throwing Marvel under the bus takes away from the hundreds of very talented crew people. That's where I get a little feisty about that."

BRAUNWYN WINDHAM-BURKE SAYS SHE'S HAVING THE BEST SEX OF HER LIFE: Real Housewives of Orange County star Braunwyn Windham-Burke isn't holding back when it comes to her sex life. TRAILER FOR AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER IS RELEASED: Today reports that the highly anticipated trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water was released on Monday (May 9th). The only words uttered in the teaser are, "I know one thing. Wherever we go, this family is our fortress." The film is expected to hit theaters on December 16th, 2022.

JONATHAN LEVINE TO DIRECT DIRTY DANCING SEQUEL: Deadline reports that Long Shot filmmaker Jonathan Levine is set to direct the Lionsgate sequel for Dirty Dancing. Jennifer Grey will be reprising her role as Frances, as she returns to Kellerman's in the 1990s, and her experience there intertwines with another young woman experiencing a coming-of-age romance. "This film exists in a dialogue with the original. We want to introduce this story to a whole new generation. That said, Johnny's absence looms large over the story, so it's a coming-of-age story but also a coming-of-age for Baby's character in a way," Levine said.

ANDY GARCIA IS THE NEW FATHER OF THE BRIDE: The trailer for the remake of The Father of the Bride was released on Monday (May 9th). According to Entertainment Tonight, Andy Garcia and Gloria Estefan play parents to Adria Arjona, as they plan her wedding and meet the family of the groom, played by Diego Boneta. The original film debuted nearly 30 years ago, starring Steve Martin and Diane Keaton.

TOM CLANCY'S JACK RYAN WILL END AFTER SEASON FOUR: Deadline reports that Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan will be ending after its fourth season—which is currently being filmed. However, the outlet says a spinoff may be in the works, featuring Michael Pena as Ding Chavez.

Character actor Mike Hagerty died on Thursday (May 5th) at the age of 67. His cause of death has not yet been revealed.

Hagerty's Somebody Somewhere costar Bridget Everett shared the news to Instagram on Friday (May 6th), writing, "With great sadness, the family of Michael G. Hagerty announced his death yesterday in Los Angeles."

In a follow-up post, Everett honored the late actor. "I loved Mike the instant i met him. He was so special. Warm, funny, never met a stranger. We are devastated he has passed. Mike was adored by the entire cast and crew of Somebody Somewhere. Our thoughts are with his wife and family," she wrote.

Hagerty was most known for his role as the landlord, Mr. Treeger, in Friends. He also held roles in The George Carlin Show and Lucky Louie, and he appeared in Boston Legal, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Cheers, and Curb Your Enthusiasm, among many other shows.

John Candy's daughter, Jennifer Candy, posted to Twitter in honor of Hagerty on Friday (May 6th). "Mike was the absolute best human being , actor and best representation of Chicago around . So lucky to have known him my whole life. My other Dad. So many good laughs ! Love to his family and anyone that every met him. He was the best," she wrote.

Fred Savage has been fired from the set of The Wonder Years reboot, following multiple complaints of misconduct. Savage starred in the original 1988 series and was executive producing and directing the remake.

"Recently, we were made aware of allegations of inappropriate conduct by Fred Savage, and as is policy, an investigation was launched. Upon its completion, the decision was made to terminate his employment as an executive producer and director of The Wonder Years," a spokesperson for 20th Television said in a statement.

No details have been released about the nature of the misconduct, but Deadline reports that "verbal outbursts and inappropriate behavior" are rumored to have occurred.

Savage has been accused of misconduct in the past, including harassment allegations on the set of The Wonder Years and The Grinder. Both cases were settled out of court.

Halle Berry took to Instagram on Sunday (May 8th) to honor "other mothers" this Mother's Day. Berry shared a photo of herself with her fifth-grade teacher, Yvonne Sims, and paid tribute to Sims' role in her life.

"On Mother's Day, not only do I reflect on what it truly means to be a mother — and the importance of a mother's love — I also reflect on what it means to receive love from a mother and sometimes that love comes from 'another mother,'" Berry wrote.

The Monster's Ball actress continued, "Yvonne Sims has been my 'Other Mother' since she was my 5th grade teacher. Without her guidance, wisdom, patience and most importantly, her UNCONDITIONAL love for me in all the stages of my life, I'm not so sure I'd still be here."

John Travolta posted a heartfelt video montage to Instagram on Sunday (May 8th) in honor of his late wife, Kelly Preston. "We love and miss you Kelly. Happy Mother's Day," he captioned the post.

The montage begins with the message, "From me To you." Set alongside Barbra Streisand's song "That Face," the video includes images of the couple's wedding, holiday celebrations, and kids.

Travolta and Preston had three children together: 22-year-old Ella, 11-year-old Benjamin, and Jett, who passed away at the age of 16 in 2009, after having a seizure.

In 2020, Preston died at the age of 57, two years after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. At the end of the tribute video, Travolta added, "With all my love, Johnny."

As expected, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness had a stellar opening weekend, bringing in $185 million. Deadline reports that it marks the second-best opening during the COVID-19 era, next to Spider-Man: No Way Home at $260 million.

Jamie Lee Curtis posted to Instagram on Friday (May 6th), comparing her movie, Everything Everywhere All at Once, to the Marvel film. "TRUTH ALERT @everythingeverywheremovie is MARVELOUS! It has a deep BEATING heart and BRILLIANT visual treats, EXTRAORDINARY performances and FANTASTIC BEASTLY FIGHT SCENES...... Everything Everywhere All at Once has been performing extremely well for an arthouse film. Deadline reports that it's expected to become A24's highest grossing film, a tittle currently held by Uncut Gems.

BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH AND SNL CAST WEAR SHIRTS IN SUPPORT OF ROE V. WADE: Entertainment Tonight reports that on Saturday's (May 7th) episode of Saturday Night Live, Benedict Cumberbatch and cast members Mikey Day, Chloe Fineman, Alex Moffat, Kyle Mooney, Chris Redd and Cecily Strong all wore t-shirts with "1973" written in red and blue across the front during the show's closing moments. 2022 BAFTA TV AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED: Variety reports that the BAFTA Television Awards occurred in person for the first time in three years on Sunday (May 8th), due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Killing Eve's Jodie Comer won Leading Actress for her role in Help, while Sean Bean took home the Leading Actor award for his role in Time. Amber Heard recounted several violent incidents with Johnny Depp while on the stand Thursday (May 5th), including a sexual assault that allegedly occurred in Australia shortly after they were married.

A tearful Heard detailed the time she claims he violated her with a glass bottle. She told the jury, "I didn't know if the bottle that he had inside me was broken. I couldn't feel it. I didn't feel pain, I didn't feel anything. I looked around and I saw so much broken glass I didn't know if he would know if it was broken or not and I remember thinking please 'God please, I hope it's not broken.'"

The Aquaman star also told the jury that Depp was insanely jealous. She says he accused her of having affairs with costars like Eddie Redmayne and James Franco and testified that he nearly broke her nose after the 2014 Met Gala because he thought she was flirting with another woman.

While on the stand, Heard also recalled accusing Depp of cheating on her with a woman he had been with years prior. She said she immediately confronted the actor and admitted that she took a swing at him - and landed her first blow – right before he hit her back.

A spokesperson for the Pirates of the Caribbean actor issued a statement Thursday saying, "As Mr. Depp's counsel correctly predicted in their opening statements last month, Ms. Heard did indeed deliver ‘the performance of her life' in her direct examination," the statement read. "While Ms. Heard's stories have continued to grow new and convenient details, Mr. Depp's recollections have remained exactly the same throughout the six painful years since her first allegations were made."

Heard's team issued their own statement saying that Depp and his legal team are unable to "distinguish fact from fiction." They added, "Mr. Depp's behavior in this trial has been as pitiful as it was in their marriage. Apparently, they feel they must double-down on their demonstrably losing two-part strategy: distract the jury and demonize the victim."

Khloe Kardashian is having feelings about seeing her brief reconciliation with ex Tristan Thompson on The Kardashians.

When the show, featuring their brief reunion, aired Thursday (May 5th), Kardashian tweeted, "Well we know how this aged #TheKardashians."

In a separate tweet, she added, "Watching these episodes now I definitely feel a type of way. Oh girl if only you knew… (Me talking to me)."

The pair briefly reunited after Thompson attended the engagement of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker in October 2021.

In an open letter to Deadline about his ousting from the Netflix series The Fall of the House of Usher, Frank Langella wrote that cancel culture is "not American."

The 84-year-old Tony Award winner writes that he was dismissed from the series on March 25th after he ignored directions from the show's intimacy coordinator and touched the leg of an actress during a love scene. He added, "It was a love scene on camera. Legislating the placement of hands, to my mind, is ludicrous. It undermines instinct and spontaneity."

The actor claims that his reputation has been tarnished as well as his change at future earnings and says, "These indignities are, to my mind, the real definition of unacceptable behavior. Cancel culture is the antithesis of democracy. It inhibits conversation and debate. It limits our ability to listen, mediate, and exchange opposing views. Most tragically, it annihilates moral judgment."
