Jennifer Grey revealed on The View that she didn't want Patrick Swayze to co-star in Dirty Dancing until a tearful apology from the actor changed her mind.

According to Grey, the Ghost actor had played several pranks on her during the filming of Red Dawn and she was over it. When it came time for his screen test for Dirty Dancing, she says he pulled her down the hall and said, "I love you, I love you, and I'm so sorry. And I know you don't want me to do the movie."

She continued, "And he got the tears in his eyes. And I got the tears in my eyes — not for the same reason. I was like, ‘Oh, this guy's working me.' And he goes, ‘We could kill it — we could kill it if we did this.'"

The two ultimately killed it during their chemistry read and she says on set, "He was like, the easy chair I'd been dreaming of my whole life."

The May 4th post read, "Be teachable. Be open. You're not always right." The SKIMS founder had revealed to Vogue that she only fit into the dress after spending weeks running on a treadmill, wearing a sauna suit two times a day, and limiting herself to clean veggies and protein.

NBC ORDERS 'QUANTUM LEAP' TO SERIES: Deadline reports that NBC has given a series order to a reboot of Quantum Leap. The updated version of the 1990s sci-fi drama will star Mozart in the Jungle's Raymond Lee.

'JUSTIFIED' MINISERIES WITH TIMOTHY OLYPHANT ORDERED AT FX: Timothy Olyphant set to reprise his role as Raylan Givens in a miniseries spinoff of FX's crime drama Justified, which ended in 2015. Vulture reports that Justified: City Primeval reunites Olyphant with producers of the original acclaimed series but there is no word yet if he'll be joined by other Justified stars like Walton Goggins or Jere Burns. The newly added cast includes Boyd Holbrook, Vondie Curtis Hall, Norbert Leo Butz, Victor Williams, Aunjanue Ellis, Adelaide Clemens, Marin Ireland, and Vivian Olyphant.

CARA DELEVINGNE TO PLAY SELENA GOMEZ'S LOVE INTEREST: Cara Delevingne will play Selena Gomez's love interest on Season 2 of Only Murders in the Building. Series co-creator John Hoffman told Vanity Fair that Delevingne's character, Alice, will help Mabel get "in touch with a side of herself she's been somewhat neglecting since the show began."

TEASER TRAILER FOR 'HOUSE OF THE DRAGON' DROPS: A teaser trailer for House of the Dragon dropped Thursday (May 5th). The Stark, Baratheon, and Targaryen families from Game Of Thrones – as well as a few dragons - were all on full display in the clip. The ten-episode HBO Original drama series debuts Sunday, August 21st on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max.

During her emotional testimony Wednesday (May 4th), Amber Heard detailed the first time Johnny Depp allegedly hit her.

Heard told the jury that she had asked the Pirates of the Caribbean actor a question about his famous "Wino Forever" tattoo and he slapped her across the face.

Heard recalled, "I laughed because I didn't know what else to do. I thought this must be a joke because I didn't' know what was going on. I just stared at him thinking that he was going to start laughing too."Instead, she says he slapped her again.

During her testimony, the Aquaman actress said that there were two different sides to Depp. She said, "He was the love of my life but he was also this other thing and this other thing was an awful, awful thing that would come out and take over. You couldn't see the Johnny I loved underneath it."

Ray J has come forward, claiming that Kim Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner orchestrated the release of their 2007 sex tape. During an interview with The Daily Mail, the singer and entrepreneur said that despite the narrative, he never leaked he and Kim's sex tape.

He explained, "I've never leaked anything. I have never leaked a sex tape in my life. It has never been a leak. It's always been a deal and a partnership between Kris Jenner and Kim and me and we've always been partners since the beginning of this thing."

Ray J said that he pitched Kim the idea of releasing the tape after seeing how a sex tape made Paris Hilton famous. Ray J said that Kim told her mom the idea and they signed a contract for two tapes, the one that was released in 2007 that was filmed during a vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and the unreleased one created in Santa Barbara, California.

Ray J says that all of the tapes are in Kim's possession, saying, "She kept them all. I never had a tape in my possession in our whole relationship. ... She's always had all the tapes in a Nike shoe box under her bed. I'm sure she has bigger beds now and better boxes. That's how it all came about."

RAY J REGRETS THE SEX TAPE

Ray J added thah he regrets the release of the tape and "felt suicidal" when the family built "an empire from a lie they've created." He added, "As a Black man living and working in America, it's hard to get up every day and look out at the water or look at my family and know that they think something about you when you know it's 1,000 percent the other way." As a result of his involvement in the tape, he said he lost the opportunity to do Dancing with the Stars and America's Got Talent.

Ray J revealed that he decided to speak out becausd Kim has defamed him. During a recent episode of The Kardashians, Kim claimed that Ray J might be in possession of a video that showed him "sticking a dildo in my a**."

As far as the tape that Kanye picked up and returned to Kim, Ray J said that he did indeed have a laptop that contained intimate photos from their relationship and he met with Kanye at a private terminal of LAX to talk about the situation. Kanye viewed the content, took it and left.

Ray J also shared a few DMs that he sent to Kim where he explained to her that saying that her "sticking a dildo in my a**" comment made him "look like a rapist and dirty perv."

Kim responded, saying that the comment was a joke and she "was laughing when I said it." As for the moment showing Ye handing over the alleged footage, she said it painted him "in a positive light." She also apologized for how the situation "affected" Ray.

A 23-year-old man was arrested Wednesday (May 4th) for attacking Dave Chappelle onstage at the Hollywood Bowl during Tuesday night's Netflix Is A Joke Festival at the Hollywood Bowl.

The LAPD says that Isaiah Lee, who was carrying a plastic replica gun that contained a knife blade, was taken into custody for assault with a deadly weapon.

According to reports, the incident occurred just after the comedian told the crowd that he needed to ramp up security due to backlash from his remarks about the trans community last year. Lee was corralled by security and fellow comedian Jamie Foxx as Chappelle joked, "It's a transman," causing backlash online once again.

A Chappelle spokesperson told Deadline in a statement, "Dave Chappelle celebrated four nights of comedy and music, setting record-breaking sales for a comedian at the Hollywood Bowl. This run ties Chappelle with Monty Python for the most headlined shows by any comedian at the Hollywood Bowl, reaching 70k fans of diverse backgrounds during the first Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival, and he refuses to allow last night's incident to overshadow the magic of this historic moment."

Kim Cattrall says she was never even asked to be a part of And Just Like That.

The How I Met Your Father star told Variety, "I was never asked to be part of the reboot. I made my feelings clear after the possible third movie, so I found out about it like everyone else did – on social media."

According to Cattrall, the HBO Max series is a lot like the proposed third film, in which her character was supposed to receive unwanted "d—k pics" from Brady, Miranda's 14-year-old son.

Even if she had been asked – or is asked in the future – the answer will be no. She explained, "It's powerful to say no. It's a great wisdom to know when enough is enough."

ELIZABETH OLSEN 'SPOILED' BY SISTERS: Elizabeth Olsen recent told Harper's Bazaar UK that it's "amazing" to be the younger sibling to twins. She said of her older sisters, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, "If I was spoiled by one, the other one wanted to match it. I loved it." By the time the WandaVision star was born in 1989, the twins were already starring on Full House which gave Elizabeth "a lot of insecurities." A source tells People that 52-year-old Genet proposed to the 32-year-old The Vampire Diaries actress during a vacation in Mexico for his birthday a few weeks ago. SOAP STAR'S WIFE IS PREGNANT WITH ANOTHER MAN'S CHILD: General Hospital alum Steve Burton announced on Instagram Wednesday (May 4th) that his wife, Sheree Gustin, is pregnant with another man's child. He wrote, "I wanted to clear something up. Sheree and I are separated. She recently announced that she's expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine." The estranged couple has been married since 1999 and shares three children.

'JULIA' RENEWED AT HBO MAX: HBO Max has renewed the comedy series Julia for a second season. The series, which is inspired by Julia Child's life and her long-running television series, "The French Chef," concludes its first season on May 5th.

ELON MUSK GETS BBC SERIES: Tesla CEO Elon Musk will be profiled in an upcoming three-part documentary series from the BBC. According to Deadline, The Elon Musk Show "has interviewed family members, close friends and business associates of the Tesla tycoon, who will tell the intimate story of his journey to becoming the globe's wealthiest person and one of its most controversial."

Dr. Dawn Hughes, a New-York based clinical and forensic psychologist, testified in Johnny Depp's defamation trial on Tuesday (May 3rd), detailing how Amber Heard was repeatedly "subjected to sexual violence" by Depp. She also said that Heard that suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of this violence.

"There are a number of incidents of sexual violence reported in this relationship. Those are documented early on … where when Mr. Depp was drunk or high. He threw her on the bed, ripped off her nightgown and tried to have sex with her," Hughes said.

When Depp was "not able to perform" during these instances, he would become "enraged," she said. "There were times when he forced her to give him oral sex when he was angry — these weren't loving moments, these were angry moments."

In a haunting addition to her testimony, Hughes said that at one point, Depp screamed, "I will kill you," and penetrated Heard with a bottle. She added that she hoped it "wasn't the broken one."

According to Hughes, Depp "pushed Heard, he shoved her, he slapped her with the front of his hand and the back of his hand, he choked her, he slammed her into the wall, he pushed her, and when she fell down he kicked her in the back."

Hughes added, "The intimate partner violence by Mr. Depp was the cause of Heard's PTSD condition."

Rumor has it that Will Smith has been unhappy with Jada Pinkett-Smith for years and sources say that she has become impossible to please. According to OK! Magazine, in addition to to their marriage, the sources say that Jada has become "extremely demanding" with staff, resulting in her losing several longtime staff members.

One source said, "Will and Jada previously kept household staff for many years, with no complaints….But within the last five years, Jada became extremely demanding, and they cycled through chefs, security guards and trainers."

An inside source close to the couple claims that Jada has grown an unbearable attitude that has progressively worsened over the years. Her attitude has allegedly upset everyone around her.

The source said, "On set, Will believes he deserves to have assistants at his beck and call, luxury trailers and special meals catered to him….He thinks he knows best and he's not afraid to share his opinion."

The source attributes Jada's demanding energy to her shift over the past 5 years. According to the source, Pinkett-Smith's number one focus is expanding her Facebook series The Red Table Talk. The source explained,"It's her top priority, and she doesn't have time to be holding Will's hand and acting as his de facto therapist…She expects him to man up, stop moping and pull himself together."

Stars in Hollywood are making their voices heard in response to the leaked Supreme Court draft opinion that seeks to overturn Roe v. Wade. The document, written by Justice Samuel Alito, was published by Politico on Monday (May 2nd).

"It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people's elected representatives," the document reportedly states.

Many stars spoke out on the issue. Reese Witherspoon tweeted, "Hey SCOTUS. Let Roe Vs. Wade stand. You did it in 1992. Stare Decicis. This has been decided."

Sophia Bush posted to Twitter, "How nice that these ideological nuts who don't care about democracy or the will of the people—who overwhelmingly support a woman's right to choose—can feel safe inside whilst they eviscerate our rights and condemn women to die. Abortion will never end. Only safe abortions."

Jameela Jamil added a gender-inclusive line to her Instagram post on the issue, writing, "This of course applies to people of all genders who can become pregnant."

Rosanna Arquette added, "Get your Boots off our wombs."

At this year's Met Gala, Kim Kardashian wore the iconic dress that Marilyn Monroe wore while singing "Happy Birthday Mr. President" to John F. Kennedy in 1962. Kardashian told Vogue before the big event that she lost 16 pounds over the course of three weeks in order to fit into the gown.

Monroe's dress was flown on a private plane to Kardashian's house from Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum in Orlando, Florida. "The dress was transported by guards and I had to wear gloves to try it on. I always thought she was extremely curvy. I imagined I might be smaller in some places where she was bigger and bigger in places where she was smaller. So, when it didn't fit me, I wanted to cry because it can't be altered at all," Kardashian said.

Following the Met Gala, Kardashian ditched her strict diet and set her sights set on the carbs—skipping the star-studded afterparties.

"You guys, I haven't had carbs or sugar in almost a month. Definitely three weeks. This pizza—I'm so excited!" The Kardashians star said in a video posted to her Instagram stories on Monday (May 2nd).

On Monday's (May 2nd) episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Portia de Rossi shared a story about coming out to her grandmother—and why it wasn't easy.

De Rossi's grandmother was a fan of the sitcom Ellen and "wouldn't miss an episode until the episode where she DeGeneres came out." After learning about DeGeneres' sexuality, her grandmother would say "that disgusting woman" whenever DeGeneres appeared on TV. "That didn't bode well for me," said de Rossi, who was closeted at the time.

After moving to Los Angeles, the Arrested Development star began dating the famous talk show host. One time, while at home visiting her grandmother, de Rossi said, "I sat by gran's chair at her feet. She said to me, ‘Are you seeing anyone special?'" to which de Rossi replied, "Gran, I'm with Ellen."

De Rossi's grandmother was 99 at the time, and she put her head in her hands. "I thought, ‘That's it, I've killed my grandmother,'" she said. But her grandmother "just looked at me and she goes, ‘Well, I love you just the same.'"

DeGeneres shared that de Rossi's grandmother had their wedding picture next to her bed until she died at the age of 103. "My grandmother meant everything to me, we were actually born on the same day," de Rossi said.

BLAC CHYNA PLANS TO APPEAL RULING IN DEFAMATION TRIAL: Page Six reports that Blac Chyna's lawyer, Lynne Ciani, says Chyna is planning to appeal her case against the Kardashian-Jenner family. "Two things. Number one, the jury found that Chyna had not physically abused Rob Kardashian. Number two, the jury found that all four defendants intentionally interfered with Chyna's contracts with the E! Network. We will appeal the remainder of the verdict," Ciani said.

WENDY WILLIAMS MAKES APPEARANCE AT MET GALA AFTERPARTY: People reports that Wendy Williams was in New York City Monday night (May 2nd) for a Met Gala afterparty at The Standard Hotel. She was with Hollywood Unlocked's Jason Lee, who posted photos of the two together to Instagram on Tuesday (May 3rd). "How was @therealwendywilliamsonline outside last night. Looking great. Sounding great. DON LEMON ASSAULT CASE IS DROPPED: The New York Post reports that Dustin Hice, the man who accused CNN anchor Don Lemon of assaulting him at a bar in Sag Harbor three years ago, has dropped his case. "After a lot of inner reflection and a deep dive into my memory, I have come to realize that my recollection of the events that occurred on the night in question when I first met CNN anchor Don Lemon were not what I thought they were when I filed this lawsuit," Hice said in a statement. Lemon's attorney Caroline Polisi said the case was "a crass money grab from its inception."

DAVID BIRNEY DIES AT 83: According to The New York Post, Bridget Loves Bernie star David Birney died on Friday (April 29th) at his home in Santa Monica, California, at the age of 83—after battling Alzheimer's disease for five years. Birney married his Bridget Loves Bernie costar Meredith Baxter in 1974, and they had three kids together before divorcing in 1989. Baxter accused Birney of emotional and physical abuse in her memoir Untied: A Memoir of Family, Fame, and Floundering, accusations that Birney called an "appalling abuse of the truth." In addition to Bridget Loves Bernie, Birney held roles in shows and films such as The Adams Chronicles, Serpico, and St. Elsewhere.

VIOLA DAVIS IN TALKS TO STAR IN PEACEMAKER SPINOFF: Deadline reports that HBO Max is in talks with Viola Davis to star as Amanda Waller in a Peacemaker and Suicide Squad spinoff. Watchmen writer Christal Henry is expected to write and executive produce the series.

THE TRAILER FOR THE AL YANKOVIC STORY IS RELEASED: TVLine reports that Roku released the first trailer for The Al Yankovic Story on Tuesday (May 3rd). See Daniel Radcliffe play the singer in a film that, as the logline reads, will explore "every facet of Yankovic's life, from his meteoric rise to fame with early hits like ‘Eat It' and ‘Like a Surgeon' to his torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle."

MEG RYAN TO STAR IN WHAT HAPPENS LATER: According to Today, Meg Ryan will return to the rom com in What Happens Later, a film that she will star in and direct. David Duchovny is set to star opposite her as part of a couple that reunites decades after they break up due to being "snowed in, in-transit, at an airport overnight."

On Monday (May 2nd), the jury in Blac Chyna's $100 million defamation trial reached a verdict, ending the weeks-long case. A judge at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles ruled that members of the Kardashian-Jenner family were "cleared of all the key questions," and that Blac Chyna would be awarded no monetary damages.

All lawyers were present for the final verdict, as was Chyna. The members of the Kardashian-Jenner family were not, however, as most of them were in New York for the Met Gala.

In response to the verdict, attorney for the Kardashian-Jenners, Michael G. Rhodes, said they are "happy to have this behind them." He added, "I think the case was very clear. The jury did a great job, they got it. The family was very pleased and grateful, they were exuberant."

Chyna's lawyer, Lynne Ciani, responded to the verdict: "I've never seen in my career before a jury have to go back and deliberate on four questions. The victory is that Chyna did not physically abuse her fiancé, Rob."

One of Johnny Depp's security guards, Travis McGivern, testified in Depp's defamation trial on Monday (May 2nd), claiming that he once witnessed Amber Heard punch Depp in the face.

McGivern, who remains one of Depp's employees, depicted a fight he previously overheard between the former couple. He said a "relatively peaceful conversation" became "louder" and "more volatile."

According to McGivern, Heard threw a can of Red Bull at Depp as the "verbal onslaught continued from both of them." The security guard continued, saying, "Mr. Depp was giving as good as he got at that point. He was angry and agitated."

"Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a fist and an arm come across my right shoulder and I heard and saw a closed fist contact Mr. Depp in the left side of his face. That was Ms. Heard's fist," McGivern said. He added that Depp had a "nice little shiner" after the incident.

A PETITION TO REMOVE AMBER HEARD FROM THE AQUAMAN SEQUEL REACHES THREE MILLION SIGNATURES

The New York Post reports that, amid Johnny Depp's defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard, three million people have signed a petition requesting Heard be removed from the Aquaman sequel.

Heard plays Mera alongside Jason Momoa's Aquaman in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Jeanne Larson created the Change.org petition back in 2020, but it has picked up steam since Depp's trial began. "Do the right thing. Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2," Larson wrote.

Film journalist Grace Randolph claims Heard isn't in much of the film as it stands now anyway. "I hear #AmberHeard has less than 10 min of screentime in #Aquaman2," she wrote in a post to Twitter.

In her new memoir titled Out of the Corner, out Tuesday (May 3rd), Dirty Dancing star Jennifer Grey writes that Johnny Depp became "crazy jealous" while they were together in the late 1980s.

Grey and Depp started dating in 1989, and the pair were engaged just two weeks later. Grey writes of their first date, "We ate, talked, drank Jack Daniel's, laughed our asses off, took cigarette breaks midcourse. He was so ridiculously beautiful. And surprisingly open, funny, quirky and sweet."

Blossom actor Joey Lawrence married Insecure actress Samantha Cope in a "romantic outdoor ceremony" in Temecula, California, on Sunday (May 1st). Lawrence told People, "It just feels so right. Life can be challenging at times, but when God gives you the right person, it's worth it."

Cope and Lawrence met in 2020 when they both starred in the Lifetime movie My Husband's Secret Brother. The couple spoke with People days before their wedding.

I understand all the feelings, but they are actually offering up this information that nobody had to know. This is crazy!" Barrymore later posted a video to Instagram apologizing for her remarks after people accused her of being insensitive, since the trial involves domestic and sexual violence.

KRISTIN CAVALLARI AND STEPHEN COLLETTI TO HOST LAGUNA BEACH REWATCH PODCAST: According to Variety, Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti will host the first-ever rewatch podcast for Laguna Beach, which originally aired on MTV from 2004-2006. The pair promise to reveal "salacious, scandalous, and sensational behind-the-scenes stories," with their former castmates, celebrities, and MTV insiders.

BOSCH: LEGACY RENEWED FOR A SECOND SEASON: TVLine reports that the spinoff Bosch: Legacy has already been greenlit for a second season, just ahead of its season one premiere on May 6th.

PRISCILLA PRESLEY COMMENTS ON FORTHCOMING ELVIS PRESLEY BIOPIC: According to Today, Priscilla Presley, who was married to Elvis Presley from 1967-1973, approves of the upcoming biopic titled Elvis. Priscilla took to Facebook recently to share her opinion of the film, after the director and screenwriter set up a private viewing for her. "It is a true story told brilliantly and creatively that only Baz, in his unique artistic way, could have delivered," she wrote, referring to director Baz Luhrmann. Priscilla also said Austin Butler, who plays Elvis, was "outstanding." Priscilla joined Butler at the Met Gala on Monday (May 2nd).

Angelina Jolie visited Lviv, Ukraine, on Saturday (April 30th), to the delight of many. Jolie has been a UNHCR Special Envoy for Refugees since 2011. She was in Lviv to meet Ukrainians who fled to the western city to escape Russian attacks in eastern Ukraine.

The Maleficent actress met with children who had been injured during the missile strike on the Kramatorsk railway station in early April. "She was very moved by (the children's) stories. One girl was even able to privately tell Ms. Jolie about a dream she'd had," Lviv Regional Governor Maksym Kozytskyy said.

Kozytskyy shared that Jolie visited a boarding school as well, talking with students and taking photos with them. "She promised she would come again," he said.
