Leonardo & Howie!
Go over to the Humane Educational Society and meet these precious pets today!
Leonardo
Leonardo is one of the last dogs we rescued from the areas affected by hurricanes this summer, and he’s still patiently waiting for his forever family to find him. Leonardo is a staff and volunteer favorite. He’s a 45-pound, 7.5-year-old hound/cattle dog mix who thinks he’s a 10-pound lap dog. He loves being around people and is great with children. His laid-back personality makes him amenable to anything from a 3-mile walk to a 3-hour cuddle session of binge watching Netflix. He walks great on leash, is very possibly already housebroken, and is learning some basic commands. He also does well in a crate when he has to be left home alone. Leonardo is a little selective about his doggy friends, so a meet and greet will be needed if you already have some pups at home. One thing that is an absolute must – he has to be adopted to a home without cats. So if you are a dog lover who doesn’t have cats, Leonardo could just be your perfect match. Come meet him today at the Humane Educational Society.
Howie
Howie is one of the many cute and cuddly kittens who are waiting for adoption at the Humane Educational Society. This 2-month-old orange tabby is just too adorable to resist, but why would you want to? Howie is playful, sweet, and maybe full of just a little kitten mischief. Of course, that’s what makes him so lovable. Make him the newest addition to your family now and he’ll be there to add some cheer and fun just in time for the holiday season. Who doesn’t need a little extra joy in life? Come adopt one (or two) of our kitty cuties today!
