Let’s “Clear the Shelters” Thursday!
For one day, April 26, all adoption fees will be waived when you purchase a leash, collar or pet carrier at the Humane Educational Society. All animals will have appropriate vaccines, be spayed or neutered and chipped!

Alice
After almost a year and 2 returns from being adopted, Alice finally found her true forever home. Alice is a shy little black and white kitty who is about 3 years old. She was often overlooked in the kennel because of her shyness. She was adopted once and returned because she wasn’t a cuddly, outgoing girl. The second time she was adopted, she hid in a closet for 3 weeks and was returned. It seemed that no one was going to give little Alice a chance to get comfortable and show her true colors. Then a family from Loudon read about her online and decided they needed to meet sweet, shy Alice. They drove all the way to the Humane Educational Society the very next day to meet her and fell in love. They adopted her to be a pal with the black-and-white kitty they already had. The two kitties have been best buds ever since, and the family seems very committed to giving Alice a true forever home.
