Mancha and Mufassa!

Read about our precious Wet Nose Wednesday pets below and then meet them at the Humane Educational Society! And if you need some inspiration for today, read about Odin, the Great Pyrenees who saved his flock of goats from sure death in the California wildfires. He’s just one example of how animals rescue us when we rescue them.

Mufassa

This week’s Wet Nose Wednesday cat is one who didn’t have the best start in life, but we are hoping he’s going to live a charmed life from here on out. Because Mufassa was not socialized or cared for much before coming to the shelter, he can be a little on the reserved side when he first meets new people. If you just sit and pet him for a little while so he can see you want to be friends, he’ll soon be all over you. Mufassa just wants to be in a home where he is loved and has someone to snuggle with. He’s a very calm 2-year-old kitty and he is absolutely gorgeous with soft, buff-colored fur. Come meet this sweet, handsome guy today at the Humane Educational Society.

Mancha

Our Wet Nose Wednesday dog is a 5-year-old hound mix who was rescued from a shelter in Florida after Hurricane Irma caused so much damage there. Even after all that and the long journey to get here, she still has a wonderful, friendly attitude. This girl loves to play with toys and especially enjoys a good game of fetch. She also likes to get some snuggle time in with her people whenever she can. Mancha walks well on leash, so she’ll be great for those of you who like to hike or take strolls through the neighborhood. She gets along pretty well with some other dogs, so she might even like another pup to play with at home. Come meet this sweet girl at the Humane Educational Society. After all, she’s come a long way to see you!
