PGA Golfer Hits Shot From Water While Nearby Alligator Stares Him Down

Professional golfer Vince Whaley executed a water shot at the Sanderson Farms Championship Sunday while an alligator observed from just feet away. Whaley’s ball landed in water at the 11th hole of the Jackson, Mississippi course, forcing him to play from the shallow area. The alligator remained in deeper water nearby as Whaley took his shot. Golf Channel commentator Johnson Wagner noted the tense moment, saying “My heart rate is elevated just watching this” during the broadcast footage.
