/- Fall Creek Falls State Park will host a “Free Fishing Day”, this Saturday June 6th. You do NOT need a permit to fish there, this Saturday only, from 7am until noon. The first 200 kids will receive a fishing pole; there will also be snacks and a photo booth. About an hour from Chattanooga, Fall Creek Falls is known for its Large Mouth Bass, and its Channel Catfish.
/- Enjoy FREE admission to the Hunter Museum’s permanent collection, this Thursday June 4th, from 4pm til 8pm. The Hunter will host another monthly Throwback Thursday this week, to help everyone enjoy art, after hours at NO charge. That’s this Thursday from 4 until 8.
/- Don’t miss “Paw-Palooza”, benefitting the McKamey Animal Center, Saturday June 13th at Coolidge Park. This popular event raises money to benefit McKamey, which is now OVER capacity with animals they are caring for. “Paw-Palooza” will be in Coolidge Park from 10am til 4pm on the 13th, with vendors, a Pet Walk, animal contests, and a new Best In Show! /- The “Walnut Street Bridge Festival” is this Sunday June 7th, from 10 until 4. Because the Walnut Street Bridge is undergoing repairs, the Festival will be held UNDERNEATH the bridge, so it will be in Coolidge Park. It’s free family fun, with entertainment, live music, and kids activities. Sunday on the North Shore.
/- The local group “Remembering January”, known for blues and rock & roll, will put on a free concert, this Friday night June 5th at 8pm. The show is part of the Catoosa County Music Series, and will be held at the Northwest Georgia Amphitheatre. That’s behind the Colonnade, off Battlefield Parkway. Friday night June 5th.
