/- The annual “Pool Paw-ty” to benefit McKamey Animal Shelter is set for September 12th at Lakesite Community Pool. For a $30 donation to McKamey, your entire family will swim with your doggie, for an end-of-summer fun time. This always sells out, so book your time online at McKameyAnimalCenter.org
/- The Red Bank High School Marching Band has been invited to perform in the Fiesta Bowl Parade, in Phoenix Arizona, on January 2nd
/- The Walnut Street Bridge is on schedule to re-open in late September, and the Tivoli Theatre is on schedule to re-open in late October. These are two venues that Chattanoogans have missed for about 2 years.
/- The high school Football Jamboree is at Finley Stadium this Thursday through Saturday, August 13th through the 15th. It will be a little different this year, with 12 teams playing in 6 full scrimmages, 2 scrimmages per night. Tickets are $10 at the Finley Stadium gate.
/- The Chattanooga River Games are this Friday through Sunday, August 14th through the 16th, at Ross’ Landing. Watch athletes compete in extreme sports, such as Wake Surf, Skate Ramp, Trampoline, Climbing, and Diving. And it’s all free. This weekend, on the Tennessee River, downtown.
