/- The East Ridge Animal Shelter needs dog walkers. Can you give a few hours a week to get their dogs out into the fresh air? Volunteer at (423) 468-1432 or stop by 5302 Stone Street, near Ringgold Road at McBrien.

/- Reindeer On The Riverfront and The Lighted Boat Parade are moving to Coolidge Park this year, because of construction at Ross’ Landing. Both of these family events are totally free, and will feature live reindeer, fireworks, and more. The night after Thanksgiving, at Coolidge Park, Reindeer On The Riverfront and The Lighted Boat Parade.

/- The American Cancer Society’s “Men Wear Pink” are collecting donations, throughout October, at both locations of Texas Roadhouse (Hixson and Hamilton Place). There are different goodies for different levels of donating, so be sure to ask your server. It’s a friendly competition between the “Men Wear Pink” contestants who support breast cancer awareness.

/- Don’t miss “Boo In The Zoo”, at the Chattanooga Zoo, after the zoo closes every Friday and Saturday night, through Halloween. Costumes, candy, characters, decorations, bouncey houses and more, with admission charge. Tickets are ONLY sold ONLINE for Boo In The Zoo, at ChattZoo.org

/- The annual Car Show at East Hamilton High School is set for November 7th. It’s from 10 until 2 that day, admission is free, and you’ll enjoy games, prizes, raffles, and more. Plus a live choir performance as well. Bring a new toy, OR enter your favorite car for $10, and that will benefit the Forgotten Child Fund. November 7th at East Hamilton High.

/- Registration is now open for the annual Grateful Gobbler Walk and 5K, taking place Thanksgiving morning in Coolidge Park. 100% of your registration fee will benefit families experiencing homelessness. And volunteers are needed that morning as well. Visit their website for more, GratefulGobblerWalk.org

/- The Tennessee Vols will play two exhibition baseball games at Erlanger Park, November 1st and November 8th. Tickets are available at Lookouts.com
