Bear Breaks Into California Home, Eats Dog Food, Cookies & Chips
A hungry bear broke into a home in Pine Mountain Club, California, located in the Los Padres National Forest. Homeowner Bridget Conley started receiving security camera alerts around 6:15am on Friday, when the large bear kicked open the door. Conley described the intruder as “the biggest bear we have seen.” Over the course of an hour, the bear went in and out of the house, feasting on various snacks. This included dog food, cookies, a bag of chips, and a container of turbinado sugar. The bear even tried a bottle of Worcestershire sauce, thinking it was syrup, but quickly discarded it. However, the bear left one item untouched – the vodka. Conley said not everything in the kitchen was ransacked, as the bear seemed to have a particular taste for the sweeter treats. While the damage was significant, authorities were able to safely remove the bear from the home. (UPI)
