Man Dies After Riding Universal Epic Universe Roller Coaster

A man in his 30s died Wednesday after becoming unresponsive on the Stardust Racers roller coaster at Universal’s Epic Universe in Florida. The guest was taken to a hospital following the incident but later died. “We are devastated by this tragic event and extend our sincerest sympathies to the guest’s loved ones,” a Universal spokesperson told PEOPLE. “We are fully cooperating with Orange County and the ongoing investigation. The attraction remains closed.” The sheriff’s office stated, “It’s very early in the investigation and we have no further information for release at this time.” Epic Universe opened in May 2025.
