Cardi B posted a series of now-deleted tweets expressing that she felt “disrespected” by Madonna because she said, she paved the way for other female artists to express their sexuality.

Madonna was referring to her iconic book called SEX that was published 30 years ago. In it, were a lot of naked and provocative images. Madonna posted, “Now Cardi B can sing about her WAP. Kim Kardashian can grace the cover of any magazine with her naked a** and Miley Cyrus can come in like a wrecking ball.”

Cardi took particular offense to the final line of Madonna’s post, which read, “You’re welcome b****es,” followed by a clown emoji.

A few hours after Cardi B slammed her on Twitter, the two were on the phone with each other and smoothed things over. They both later posted their love and respect for the other.

Cardi posted, “I talked to Madonna …It was beautiful.” Madonna added, “I love you Cardi B!! Always have and always will.”
