Darius Rucker Benefit For St. Jude Brings Country Stars To The Ryman

Darius Rucker’s 15th annual benefit show, ‘Darius and Friends,’ a fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, took place on Monday night at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium. The fundraising benefit concert, which has raised over $4 million dollars for St. Jude over the course of its 15 years, featured a rousing performance by Rucker himself, as well as mini-sets by big name country stars like Jamey Johnson, Dan + Shay, Ingrid Andress, Shane Profitt, and Chase Matthew. Rucker stepped out of his musical comfort zone a bit during his wide ranging set, playing covers of Bell Biv Devoe‘s “Poison,” Tim McGraw‘s “I Like It, I Love It” and TLC‘s “Waterfalls,” as well as joining Johnson for a stirring duet on Johnny Cash‘s outlaw country classic, “Folsom Prison Blues.” (The Tennessean
