Driver Crashes While Urinating in Beer Can, Tests Over Three Times Legal Limit

James Howard rear-ended a Volkswagen on a Missoula roadway Thursday evening while attempting to urinate into a Budweiser can while driving his Chevrolet Suburban. A Highway Patrol officer found Howard holding the beer can, which he said “contained urine and not beer” when questioned. Howard explained he “rear-ended the vehicle because he was attempting to urinate into the beer can while driving.” The Volkswagen driver said he saw approaching lights and told his girlfriend to “brace for impact” while stopped at a traffic light. Howard showed signs of intoxication with slurred speech and wet pants. “Howard stated that he had ‘more than a couple of DUI’s’ and was not supposed to be driving,” according to court records. His blood alcohol measured over three times the legal limit. Howard faces felony aggravated DUI charges and is held on $10,000 bond. (Story URL)
