Driverless Car Accused Of Fleeing Police

A Phoenix police officer pulled over a driverless Waymo car for driving on the wrong side of the road…and accused the car of attempting to flee the scene. Camera footage shows an officer pulling over a driverless Waymo car on June 19th. The car then connected itself to a representative to talk to the officer. The officer can be heard telling the representative that the car was “going eastbound in the westbound lanes” and that it briefly tried to get away when he initiated the stop. Waymo responded by saying the car was thrown off by unclear signage. (Headline USA)
