Dua Lipa’s Attorneys Call Copyright Lawsuit ‘Speculative’ And ‘Vague’

Attorneys for Dua Lipa are asking a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit claiming she stole “Levitating’s” hook from a little-known reggae track.

According to Billboard, lawyers say the allegations are “speculative,” “vague” and supported by little real evidence.

Earlier this year, Artikal Sound System filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Lipa, claiming that the 2020 Future Nostalgia track rips off their 2017 song “Live Your Life.”
