THE TRAILER FOR THE KARDASHIANS IS RELEASED: Entertainment Tonight reports that the new trailer for Hulu’s The Kardashians aired during Monday’s (February 21st) episode of The Bachelor. The trailer includes footage of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s engagement, during which Kris Jenner cries and says, “This makes me so happy.” Kim then jokes, “She’s never had a reaction like that for me and it’s happened, like, a few times.” The Kardashians is set to premiere on April 14th.
EVAN RACHEL WOOD SPEAKS ON ALLEGED MARILYN MANSON ABUSE IN NEW PHOENIX RISING TRAILER: HBO released a trailer for the two-part documentary Phoenix Rising on Tuesday (February 22nd), which features Evan Rachel Wood’s journey as an abuse survivor and activist. Deadline reports that, nearly a decade after Wood’s relationship with Manson, which was allegedly harrowingly abusive, she “co-author[ed] and successfully lobb[ied] for passage of The Phoenix Act, legislation that extends the statute of limitations for domestic violence cases in California.” Part one is set to premiere on HBO on March 15th at 9 p.m. ET/PT, and part two will follow on March 16th at the same time.
OSCARS WILL PRE-TAPE SELECT CATEGORIES PRIOR TO SHOW: According to Deadline, eight of the 23 categories at this year’s Oscars will not be presented live on March 27th. Instead, they will be taped beforehand in the audience and will later run at different points during the show. Deadline speculates this is an attempt to “broaden the audience for the show.”
AMAZON ANNOUNCES THE WILDS SEASON TWO: People reports that Amazon’s The Wilds will return in May for its second season. In season one of the show, a group of teenage girls is stranded on an island, which seems accidental, but it all turns out to be part of a social experiment. In season two, a second group will also become stranded, only this time, it will be a group of teenage boys.
