Kanye West: ‘I’m Sorry For The People I Hurt’

Kanye West has apologized for comments he made about Jewish people. During an interview with Piers Morgan, when asked if he apologized about hs “Def Con 3” comments, he said “No. Absolutely not.” Piers responded, “That is as racist as anything you say you’ve been through, and any pain you’ve experienced, it’s the same thing.” Ye responded, “Yeah, obviously, that’s why I said it.” Morgan said, “So you said it knowing it’s racist?” Ye replied, “Yes. I fought fire with fire. I’m not here to get hosed down, it’s a different type of freedom fighter.”

He later said, “I will say I’m sorry for the people that I hurt with the Def Con. I feel like I caused hurt and confusion and I’m sorry for the families of the people that had nothing to do with the trauma that I’d been through. And I used my platform where you say, ‘Hurt people, hurt people.’ And I was hurt.”

In a second clip from the interview, he said, “I really want to give you guys a big hug. I want to word it, in not like a political way but a presidential way. Which means what I knew a president to be when I was growing up.”

Meanwhile, during the interview, Kanye also said that President Biden‘s refusal to meet with Elon Musk was “retarded.” He said, “The President of the United States does not have meetings with Elon Musk. That is f***ing … Hey, here, come, come get me … That’s f***ing ret***ed. I know I’m not supposed to say that Biden, but that’s f***ing ret***ed, Biden.”
