Lizzo Denounces ‘Big Girl’ Stereotypes

Lizzo is speaking out about her weight and wants to create a new beauty standard by embracing her figure.

Appearing on the cover of People, she said, “I know I’m fat. It doesn’t bother me. I like being fat, and I’m beautiful and I’m healthy. So can we move on?”

Lizzo revealed that she faced multiple stereotypes while growing up and simply because of her size she became the “funny, fat friend.”

Calling herself a “body icon,” she says she’s embracing her look, more and more every day.

Her new reality competition show, will also embrace it. She’s embarking on a nationwide search for dancers, that look like her, to join her on tour.
