During her Washington, D.C. concert this week, Olivia Rodrigo spoke up about how she feels about abortion rights. She told her audience that she was heartbroken over the Supreme Court’s potential decision to take away a woman’s right to choose.
She said, “Our bodies should never be in the hands of politicians. I hope we can raise our voices to protect our right to have a safe abortion, which is a right that so many people before us have worked so hard to get.”
Rodrigo was referring to a shocking Supreme Court leak of a draft opinion arguing that the landmark 1973 Roe V. Wade abortion ruling was “egregiously wrong from the start.”
