Orcas Are Attacking Yachts Again

They’re back at it! Another yacht has been felled by orcas in the Strait of Gibraltar, Spain’ maritime rescue services confirmed. Two people on the vessel were rescued by an oil tanker on Sunday. It’s unknown how many killer whales were involved in ramming the Alboran Cognac until it sank. Many animal experts don’t seem to believe that the orcas are trying to hurt humans….but they may be engaging in a kind of “play” behavior and teaching their peers how to sink boats. “We’re talking about very intelligent beings, and we know that they are social learners,” neuroscientist Lori Marino said.
