Passenger Rips Wheels Off Suitcase To Avoid Fees

A man named Daniel attempted to check into his flight from Mallorca to the Spanish mainland when he intentionally broke his own suitcase. Daniel’s luggage was just slightly too big, and a Ryanair agent told him that he would have to pay $76 to bring it. “So I decided to break it…It would have cost me more to check the case in than I spent on the flight,” Daniel said. He snapped the wheels off the suitcase, which brought it down to size. Fortunately, Daniel did not have to pay the fee after all, but the suitcase no longer rolls. (NY Post)
