Teaching Assistant Used ‘Poop Spray’ To Sicken Kids At High School
Alexander Lewis, 32, was arrested Friday after allegedly using a poop-scented spray multiple times at West Florence High School in South Carolina between August 25th and Friday. The teaching assistant now faces charges of disturbing schools and malicious injury to property, with additional charges possible. Several students required medical treatment for breathing problems, headaches, nausea, and dizziness caused by the spray. One student with asthma visited a doctor three times. The incidents forced class disruptions and caused more than $55,000 in damages for air conditioning repairs and inspections. Lewis was released Saturday from Florence County Detention Center. Authorities say the spray product was purchased online, but investigators haven’t determined whether this was a prank or deliberate act. (Story URL)
