Teen On Family Vacation Boards Wrong Flight, Ends Up In Wrong Country

A 15-year-old British teenager’s journey home from vacation took an unexpected turn after he boarded the wrong flight. Intending to fly to London’s Stansted Airport, the boy became separated from his family in the departures area and ended up on an EasyJet plane bound for Milan, Italy, without a ticket. According to Mallorca police, airport security cameras captured footage of the teen – believed to be autistic – slipping onto the Milan-bound flight. Although the airport’s missing-child alert was activated, it was later called off once the boy’s whereabouts were confirmed. Airline staff reportedly realized midflight that an unauthorized passenger was aboard, and upon landing in Milan, local authorities and EasyJet personnel met the teen. The airline said it remains in contact with the family to provide support, and the teen’s mother was flown to Italy to reunite with him. (Newser)
