Tom Waits Reissues Album Set For 40th Anniversary
It’s been forty years since Tom Waits released his breakthrough album, Swordfishtrombones, and now it’s part of a reissue set. It was his 8th studio album and first that he produced himself.
Though the album peaked at #164 on the Billboard Album chart, it topped major magazine’s rock reviews as the best album of the year.
The newly remastered vinyl and CD set will include albums, Rain Dogs, Frank’s Wild Years, The Black Rider, and Bone Machine and be available on October 6.
In a 1983 interview he tried to explain his writings and said: “I tried to listen to the noise in my head and invent some junkyard orchestral deviation-a mutant apparatus to drive this noise into a wreck collection.”
TL;DR:
