The 2019 Sandhill Crane Festival is Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hiwassee Refuge and Birchwood Community Center. Guests can ride a free shuttle from the center to the refuge. Not only is it an opportunity to view these incredible birds up close.
Admission to the festival is free.
