2018 Showcase of Homes
October 12-14 and October 19-21
The Home Builders Association of Greater Chattanooga and EPB Fiber Optics is excited to announce the 2018 Showcase of Homes, October 12-14 and October 19-21. This year’s event will feature 20 homes offering generations of home buyers the largest and most impressive displays of new homes in the Greater Chattanooga Area. You can explore and compare brand new homes at your leisure without appointments. Home tours are free and open to public.
Prater’s Mill County Fair
The Prater’s Mill Country Fair focuses on mountain music, Southern foods & the handmade crafts and original art of 165 talented artists and artisans.
The fair admission fee for adults and seniors of $7 (cash only) goes to help preserve and maintain Prater’s Mill and the surrounding buildings. Children 12 and under and Military with ID are free. Parking and shuttle services are free. Coca-Cola sponsors live entertainment all day long at the Saylors Pavilion. Appalachian musicians and cloggers are among the many acts scheduled throughout the weekend.
Southern Bend Fitness Festival
More than 1000 fitness enthusiasts will travel to Coolidge Park for a full day event. Attendees can expect 60 to 75-minute long yoga, spin, paddle board yoga, aerial yoga, crossfit, barre, mediation, mindfulness, circuit training and more. Sessions are catered towards beginners and experts alike. This year’s festival will include a morning 5K run sponsored by Wild Trails. Popular vendors and music will round out the festival. Early bird tickets are on sale now, and 100% of the ticket sale profits go to help a local child in need of an organ transplant.

Ocktoberfest!
Saturday, October 13th & Sunday, October 14th – Chattanooga’s oldest and largest Oktoberfest celebration, our 2-day festival draws crowds locally and regionally each year. Come to enjoy the sights, smells, and sounds of the German traditions and bring your family for a day of entertainment, shopping, and a chicken dance or two!
The festival includes an array of German traditions: brats and other German culinary foods, a biergarten featuring over 99 local and season craft brews, and Oompah Bands. Don’t miss the Mr. & Ms. Chattanooga Oktoberfest® Contest at the front stage Saturday evening to see who will be crowned for 2017.

Voices of Auschwitz – An Historic Evening with Eva Schloss
Don’t miss this rare appearance of Eva Schloss, one of the few-remaining Nazi death camp survivors. She was a childhood friend of diarist Anne Frank who later became Anne’s half-sister. With a powerful voice of her own, Eva now travels the world spreading a message of remembrance, peace and hope.
