   /- “Throwback Thursday” is this Thursday Oct. 1st at the Hunter Museum. It’s free admission for all, from 4 til 8pm this Thursday, to enjoy their Permanent Collection. Free admission this Thursday at 4 at The Hunter.

  /- The Girl Scouts are teaming with McKamey Animal Shelter, selling “Bark Boxes”. Purchase a $30 Bark Box online; a shelter animal will receive the treats and toys, and a Girl Scout will enjoy a Leadership Experience. It’s a win-win situation.   /- Seniors ages 65 and older will enjoy free admission to the Chattanooga Zoo, this Thursday Oct. 1st. They don’t even need to buy a ticket, simply show a valid I.D. at the Zoo front gate, for free admission. Ages 65 and over are free, at the Zoo this Thursday Oct. 1st.

  /- The “3 Sisters Bluegrass Festival” is this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 2nd and 3rd, at Ross’ Landing. Local and regional fiddlers will perform, FREE, beginning at 5:30 on Friday, and starting at noon on Saturday. Bluegrass for everyone, from traditional to alternative picking.     /- The apple orchards in Blue Ridge, Georgia, have been named the 10th Best Apple Orchards in America. That Top 10 list is the USA Today’s Readers Choice Poll, and Blue Ridge comes in at #10, nationwide.

  /- The Walnut Street Bridge re-opens this Saturday Oct. 3rd, with a community celebration from 12noon til 3pm. Enjoy music, games, and your first walk across the Walnut Street Bridge in 18 months. This Saturday.
