Blood Assurance will celebrate its 50th anniversary this Saturday June 25th, and you’re invited to the party!. From 9 until 5 this Saturday at the Blood Assurance location across from the UTC McKenzie Arena, enjoy snacks and games, a tee-shirt contest, live music, and prizes too. Your Chattanooga Red Wolves have two soccer matches this week: one is Wednesday night June 22nd hosting Charlotte North Carolina, at 7:30 at C.H.I. The world’s largest Wood-Turning Event is this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday June 24th, 25th, and 26th, at the Chattanooga Trade Center. More than 1,000 wood artists will be there with demonstrations, auctions, wood projects and much more. Admission is free to the Wood-Turning Artist Event at the Trade Center, from 9 until 6 each day this weekend

The local chapter of the Salvation Army is collecting fans to give to senior citizens who cannot afford air conditioning. It’s called the Beat The Heat Campaign, and they need a lot of new fans. Drop off those new fans at 822 McCallie Avenue, or you can make a financial donation online so the Salvation Army can buy the fans.
