The Red Cross is working 24/7 to help those in Kentucky who have lost everything in the recent floods. Food, shelter, and critical medical supplies are on the way to the affected area; thousands are still without power there. Tennessee voters go to the polls this Thursday August 4th. Voting sites will be open from 8am until 8pm Eastern time; and be sure to bring a picture ID with you. It will be the State and Federal Primary; and the State and County General Election.

This Saturday night August 6th will be the final Free Movie Night in Miller Park. The movie will be “Sonic The Hedgehog”, and it will start at about 8:30. Before that, the family will enjoy games and music and food trucks. Bring your own blanket and enjoy the final Free Movie Night, this Saturday in downtown Chattanooga.

The “Food Tax Holiday” is all month long in the State of Tennessee. There will be no sales taxes charged on groceries, through August 31st. So it’s a great time to stock up for the coming weeks! This doesn’t include alcohol, tobacco products, or candy.
