Here’s another way to help a local Breast Cancer non-profit raise some money. This
Saturday the 24th, starting at 12noon, take part in a fun Darts & Pool tournament, at the
VFW on Lee Highway. It’s kid-friendly, $10 entry fee for each person, and money raised
benefits the Mary Ellen Locher Scholarship Foundation. That’s Saturday at 12 at VFW
on Lee Highway.
If you would like to help with medical expenses for the East Ridge police officer who
was shot on Sunday afternoon, go to GoFundMe.com. Search for Cpl. Terry Prescott,
and there it is. Their goal is $5,000.
Chattanooga State has announced Virtual Fine Arts Events. With various plays and
performances, guests can enjoy each show from the comfort of their own home. And

night at 8; the teams are off Thursday; Game 3 is Friday night at 8; Game 4 is

“Little Libraries” are open to everyone, and it’s a great book exchange. “Have a

Tremont Street at Crewdson, in North Chattanooga. It’s shaped like a cute little
birdhouse.
Actor Jeff Bridges, star of “The Big Lebowski” and dozens of other movies, has
announced he has Lymphoma. The 70-year-old says that though it is a serious
diagnosis, he will start treatment very soon, and feels very positive about recovery.
There WILL be free flu shots this Wednesday from 1:30 until 5pm at Alstom. The
Hamilton County Health Department has expanded the drive-through Flu Shots for one
more day (this Wednesday Oct. 21st).. For Hamilton County residents only please, over
18 years of age.
