This gorgeous girl is a 47-pound, black Retriever mix who’s just a little over a year old — but she’s already shown incredible resilience and heart. Saucy Pawci was abandoned at a worksite along with two other dogs and was thankfully rescued by HES officers.
Despite her rough start, she’s been nothing but sweet and patient while in our care. It appears Saucy Pawci has already been a young mom once in her short life, and now it’s her turn to be cared for and loved. She can be a little standoffish at first, but
once she knows you’re kind, she melts into affection and loves being doted on. She’s gentle during bath time, does well with some other dogs, and would truly thrive in a home with a secure fenced yard where she can feel safe and stretch her legs.

Cherri is a tender-hearted snuggle bug who appreciates the slow, quiet life. Her loving purr motor will serenade you as you enjoy being in her presence while you work on a quiet activity (reading, diamond art, Sudoku, even working from home). She loves gazing
out of windows and responds well to catnip! Loud noises and sudden movements will send her fleeing; but she is a brave girl who is willing to venture back out with the coaxing of a calm voice, and especially for the promise of booty scritches (her Kryptonite)!
Cherri is a sweet, soft girl who knows how to give and receive love. If you’re one who enjoys the quiet life, Cherri might just be the companion for you.
