“Reindeer On The Riverfront” AND The Lighted Boat Parade are set for Friday Nov. 26th. The event starts at 4;30 that day with Santa, live reindeer, a fire pit, hot cocoa, and then the Lighted Boat Parade. It’s free along the Riverfront. And fireworks too.
The Farmer’s Almanac, published continuously since 1792, says that Chattanooga is in for a “cold and snowy winter”!
The River City Company will sponsor the first-ever “Food Drive And Concert”, Monday November 22nd in Miller Plaza. It’s a chance for area residents to gather and give back, so bring canned goods, and things like hand-warmers and ponchos. All donations will be given to the Community Kitchen, to help the homeless during the cold weather. That’s on Monday the 22nd, from 11:30am until 1pm, with free music, and donations, in Miller Plaza.
“Guns And Hoses”, a battle of the badges – Police & EMS vs The Fire Departments! – is this coming Friday, Nov. 19th. It’s an amateur boxing event to raise money for the YMCA’s “Youth Community Action Program”. It starts at 6:30pm on Friday the 19th at Camp Jordan Arena. Tickets are $15, kids under 6 are free.
