If you are 50 years of age or older, you can now get that 2nd Booster shot, at no charge, weekdays from 8am until 4pm at the Hamilton County Health Department on East 3rd Street. And also on Saturday mornings from 8 until noon, at the same location. No appointment is needed, the shot is free, and don’t forget to wear your mask. This is the 2nd booster shot, now available 6 days a week for ages 50 and older. Call 209-8383

The state and county primary election is May 3rd, and early voting is April 13th through the 28th. If you have any questions about whether you are registered or not, call the Election Commission at 209-VOTE, that’s (423) 209-8683.

April is “Distracted Driving Awareness Month”, and Police Departments around the area are serious about reducing crashes that occur because of distracted drivers. Remember, in Tennessee, it is against the law to hold, or talk on, a cell phone while you are driving.

The White Oak Bicycle Co-op is asking for new OR used bicycles, that they can fix up and give away. Their mission is to increase physical activity in children from low-income households, and bicycles are a great way to exercise. Find out more about donating a bike, at WhiteOakBicycle.org
