The East Ridge Optimist Club is selling Bar-B-Q on Saturday Oct. 28th; it’s $8 a plate or $20 for a rack of ribs. At the East Ridge City Hall from 11am til 2pm, Saturday the 28th.
The Chattanooga Rescue Mission is planning a big Thanksgiving meal for the homeless; it will be held on Thanksgiving Day from 11am until 1pm, and will include a gift bag for each member of the homeless community as well. The Rescue Mission is located at 1512 South Holtzclaw Avenue, and you can drop off donations at that location if you would like to contribute.
“The Launch Pad” offers sober living to help women begin their recovery process; They will host a Pickleball Tournament this Sunday, October 22nd to help raise money. Southern Adventist University Automotive Program students will offer FREE vehicle inspections. It will be this Sunday Oct. 22nd from 1 until 4, at the Samaritan Center in Ooltewah. They will check your fluids and belts and hoses, things like that. They can’t do repairs, but they WILL explain to you anything they find that needs to be fixed. Open to everyone in the community, Sunday in the parking lot of the Samaritan Center. FREE.
