The “Splash Pad Fountain” in East Ridge will be open for the Summer, beginning Saturday June 1^st. The hours will be from 11am til 7pm everyday, next to the police department, on Ringgold Road at Tombras Avenue. It’s always free. “The Splash Pad Fountain” in East Ridge.

The Hunter Museum of Art, in downtown Chattanooga, is part of the “National Blue Star Program”.. this means that all active military, AND their families, receive free admission all summer long. Up to 5 family members get to enjoy the Hunter, at no charge, through Labor Day. Just show your Military I.D.

The “Ice Cream Safari” at the Chattanooga Zoo is June 15^th; from 4:00 until 7:00 that day, enjoy unlimited ice cream, get to know the zoo animals, and feed the giraffes too. Tickets are online only, and usually sell out. Visit ChattZoo.org today, for your tickets to “The Ice Cream Safari” at the zoo.

On the first Thursday of each month, you’ll enjoy FREE admission to the Bessie Smith Cultural Center, on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The hours are from 10am til 5pm, and on the first Thursday (this month it will be June 6^th) you’ll learn about the rich history of Bessie Smith AND of Chattanooga. Free admission this Thursday the 6^th to Bessie Smith Center.

Don’t miss the next Chattanooga Roller Derby action, Saturday June 8^th at Camp Jordan Arena. One admission ticket gets you in for 3 different Derby sets: 3pm, 5pm, and 7pm… And a portion of the proceeds will benefit the “Children’s Advocacy Center”… June 8^th, the Roller Derby at Camp Jordan.

Chattanooga Parks and Outdoors hopes to see you and your family at “June Fest”. It will be on Saturday June 8^th, at East Lake Park on 34^th Street. Enjoy food, music, vendors, and lots of FREE fun. Bring the family June 8^th, from 1pm-5pm at East Lake Park.

The Alabama Crimson Tide football team opens its season August 31^st against Western Carolina; the first game for the U.T.C. football Mocs will be August 31^st AT the Tennessee Vols; The Georgia Bulldogs open their season August 31^st against Clemson.
