The “Chatt Town Cool Down” will be August 23rd and 24th at Ross’ Landing. It will be FREE family fun, with kayaking, a foam slide, climbing, disc golf, and more. It is an End-Of-Summer celebration sponsored by Outdoor Chattanooga. August 23rd and 24th, downtown.
All kids ages 5 through 18 can ride Carta buses for free, all year, when they sign up for the Chattanooga Library’s “Read And Ride Program”. Visit any library, or go online to ChattLibrary.org, and sign up for your child’s age group. The more they read, the more they ride Carta – FREE, all year!
The Humane Society needs 6-foot-long dog leashes (and volunteer dog walkers); drop the leashes by or have them shipped to 4155 Randolph Circle, Chattanooga 37405.. And McKamey Animal Center needs dry dog food and dry cat food. Drop off those bags, or have them shipped, to 4500 North Access Road, Chatt. 37415.

The first-ever “Nooga Hunger Walk & Run” hosted by the Chattanooga Food Bank is September 8th. It will be held at Ross’ Landing; registration and the Kids’ Zone will open at noon, the 5K will start at 2:00. Register today, and help raise money to fight Food Insecurity; go to ChattFoodBank.org
“French Fries For School Supplies” is set for August 26th through the 30th. At local participating McDonald’s restaurants, purchase a separate order of french fries, and 10% will buy school supplies for classrooms.
