      The new Riverview Park Playground opens to the public this Thursday the 12th at 4:00, After a $1- million dollar update, the park will now include equipment for kids of all ages and abilities .. It opens Thursday afternoon, at Riverview Road and Barton Avenue, in North Chattanooga.

     Don’t miss The Bacon Festival, September 21st and 22nd at Camp Jordan Arena. It’s from “Touch The Sky Events”, and will feature more than 150 vendors, face painting, live music, inflatables, train rides, and … everything bacon! It will be a family-friendly event at Camp Jordan, Sept. 21st and 22nd.

     UTC’s R.O.T.C. Army Cadets have placed thousands of small flags outside of Lane Funeral Home; each flag represents Americans who lost their lives on September 11th; almost 3,000 flags will remain in place through Friday Sept. 13th, in honor of those who died.

     The Tennessee Aquarium AND the Imax Theatre are offering college students, faculty, and staff, half-price admission during the month of September. Show your college I.D. or your latest transcript AT the box office only, and you’ll receive a ½ price ticket. This offer is good Sept. 8th through Sept. 30th, every day EXCEPT FOR SATURDAYS, at the Aquarium and at the Imax Theatre as well.

     The new East Ridge Animal Shelter invites you to their grand opening at their new location, on September 26th. Their new facility will be almost 5,000 square feet and will be located at 5302 Stone Street, near Ringgold Road and McBrien. The Grand Opening will be September 26th.
