TDOT says “Thank You Tennessee” for your overwhelming response during “No Trash November”… 2,412 Tennesseans picked up almost 70,000 POUNDS of litter, on the highways and in the waterways of the Volunteer State. There were 175 different clean-up sites, and more than 3,000 giant trash bags were used to pick up that 70,000 pounds of litter… during “No Trash November”.
Always wanted to join The Peace Corps? You’re invited to attend the “Peace Corps Application Workshop” this Monday the 16th at 3pm. The event will be held on the 4th floor of the Chattanooga Public Library, downtown, and will help you through the process of applying to The Peace Corps. And it’s free. “Wings Over North Georgia” had to cancel this year’s airshow because of ongoing construction. But they’ve confirmed the dates for NEXT year, October 17th through the 19th at the Rome, Georgia airfield. We will have ticket details soon. (And the Blue Angels are scheduled to perform).
