Could the Viral ‘3 by 3’ Trend Improve Your Life?

The latest health “hack” making the rounds on TikTok is the “3 by 3 by 12:00 p.m.” The idea is to hit three mini-goals before noon to jumpstart your day.
Specifically, you’re supposed to walk 3,000 steps, drink about one‐third of your daily water goal, and eat roughly 30 grams of protein . . . all before lunch.
Daily recommendations for protein, water, and activity are going to be different based on things like your age and fitness level. And the noon cutoff is also arbitrary. So the exact numbers may not work for everyone.
But in general, hitting some activity, hydration, and nutrition goals before you even make it to the lunch hour can potentially increase your energy, mood, and focus for the rest of the day. So it might be worth a try.
