Google Chrome’s Latest Update Might Brick Your Ad Blocker

If you’re a Google Chrome user, their latest update could brick that ad blocker you’ve grown to love.
They’ve been transitioning to a new system that’s supposed to offer more security and privacy. But not all extensions work with it.
You can check to see if the extensions you use are compatible or not. Just click the three dots in the top-right corner of Chrome . . . choose “Extensions” . . . then “Manage Extensions.”
Anything that won’t work with the new update should be at the top under a line that says, “This extension may soon no longer be supported.” (Here’s a pic.)
There’s a button to help you find a similar extension to replace it. But there may not be good alternatives for everything.
It looks like most of the big ad blockers people use WILL still run on some level. But they might not block as much stuff as they used to. (Lifehacker)
