Here’s How to Make a Great Impression in Your First Week of a New Job

Have you ever started a new job and gotten the first-day jitters?

It happens to everyone, even a host whose job it is to give advice. But luckily, she shared what helped her survive the awkwardness of that first week. Here’s what she learned:

1. Say hello to all your coworkers first. She said introducing herself to her coworkers right away made the office feel a lot less intimidating.

2. Focus on your abilities, not your appearance. When she was nervous, an old friend told her to remember why she was hired in the first place. Who cares what you wear on day one.

3. Give yourself a little grace. This was her biggest takeaway: Nobody nails a new job immediately.
