A “TAPS” ceremony will be presented in front of Ringgold City Hall, this Monday, Memorial Day, at 7pm
The “Depot Dash” to benefit St. Jude is this Saturday May 25th, as part of the “1890s Day Jamboree”. There is a 5K and a Fun Run, with medals for everyone who joins in. Register now at ChattanoogaTrackClub.org and click on “Calendar”. All proceeds go directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
“Nightfall” is back, with free concerts every Friday night, through Labor Day weekend. The opening acts take the stage at 7pm every Friday, and the headliners go on at 8pm, downtown in Miller Plaza.. Thanks to “Chattanooga Presents”, who puts on Nightfall every year.
Blood Assurance is in urgent need of a larger blood supply. ALL blood types are appreciated, with special emphasis on O- and O+ blood. It takes less than an hour to donate blood, and you could save a life! Walk-ins are welcome, or make an appointment at BloodAssurance.org
McKamey Animal Center says thank you SO much for all of the towels and sheets and blankets you donated for the hundreds of animals who are living at the shelter. Now McKamey would like to ask for dog treats and dog toys. If you can help at all, drop by anytime and put your items in their outside collection bins. McKamey goes through hundreds of dog treats each day. They are located on North Access Road just off Hixson Pike.
Can you donate a new fan to the Salvation Army, to help keep some of your neighbors a little cooler this Summer, because many thousands of families in Tennessee don’t have air conditioning. The “Beat The Heat Program” is underway, and they are asking for new fans, by June 3rd. Drop off your donation at 800 McCallie Avenue at the Salvation Army Headquarters.
Volunteers are needed, to help take down American flags that have been put up in Ringgold for the Memorial Day holiday. Flags will be taken down on June 3rd. Call (706) 935-3061 to help in Ringgold, on June 3rd..
